With the release of Path of Exile 2 into early access, many players both old and new are flooding in to see just how good this hyped up action RPG really is. Along the way, most newcomers are experiencing issues finding certain objectives in the game, and in this guide, we will try to help you search for the entrance to the Red Vale.
How to Find the Entrance to the Red Vale | Secrets in the Dark Quest
So, you started doing the Secrets in the Dark quest and are having a hard time finding the entrance to the Red Vale in the Grelwood. Well, we hate to break it to you, but you will have to search for it on your own.
Instances in the game, for the most part, have a random layout every time. Although certain landmarks will always be present, they will not be in the exact same location that somebody else found it.
One thing you can do to make the search easier, however, is to hug the corners of the map and then working your way inwards to uncover the fog of war. Most of the time, this strategy will cause you to stumble into your objective along the way.
In this case, you are likely going to find the entrance to the Red Vale by simply walking along the edges of the map. Make sure to check every inch that you can explore at the edges. Eventually, you should be able to find a glowing wooden bridge with “The Red Vale” written over it.
So, if somebody claims to know the exact location of a specific point of interest or entrance to another zone, they are very likely wrong. Such is the case for this or something like Una’s Lute, which we covered previously.
Again, hug the edges and you will eventually find what you’re looking for. It is often an effective way to uncover the entire zone and should prevent you from getting lost for too long.
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
