Rebreathers are a new Field Upgrade you can get in Season 3 of Warfare 2 DMZ. This handy tool allows you to get extra air while diving, prolonging the time you can stay underwater.

They are also required for one of the faction missions, Dark Waters, from the Redacted faction.

However, finding them isn’t all that easy. If you’re having trouble, this guide will tell you where to find rebreathers!

Rebreathers are found randomly, so there are no specific locations where they spawn. Since there are no guaranteed locations, you will need to rely a bit on luck when looking for them.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t things you can do to increase your chances of finding one!

First off, you want to focus on looting specific types of containers. Medicine cabinets, supply drops, and lockers are all very likely to have rebreathers inside.

You also want to focus on places with lots of these container types. The train that goes through Al Mazrah is a fantastic location, for example.

Hafid Port is another great place to loot since it has a bunch of lockers close together. You should start looting it right away if you manage to start a game of DMZ there.

Of course, try to be patient if you’re having trouble. Random chance is a pain, but you should get it eventually as long as you keep looking in the right places.

Once you acquire one, you can use it by equipping it and holding it in your hand. Press the Fire button while you’re underwater and your character will inhale air from it, managing to avoid drowning.

Each rebreather has 4 charges and you will definitely need at least one of these items if you wish to do the rest of the Dark Waters mission!
