There are two different protagonists that you play as in the brand new Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is set in feudal Japan and continues with the trend of RPG style gameplay that the franchise has grown into over the years. In this guide, we will very quickly go through how you can find and acquire the Bloodshade, which is a legendary katana that you can get very early for Naoe.

How to Get the Bloodshade Legendary Katana Early

Simply put, the Bloodshade is just found in a legendary chest that you can open in the ship to the west of the Burnt Village of Nakajima. To get there, you will have to start swimming towards it from whichever point you prefer to start in.

Once you reach the ship, all you need to do is climb onto it and take the ladder to the upper level of the ship. There, you will find the legendary chest just waiting to be looted. Open it to get the Bloodshade Katana.

Take note that this ship is a prohibited area, which means that nearby enemies will try to kill you if you get detected. Luckily, you can easily slip in and out even if you get caught, so this should not be an issue at all.

The Bloodshade is one of the earlier examples of legendary weapons that you can get in the game, and this one in particular is suited for builds that are centered around inflicting the bleed status effect.

Not only does it have a decent amount of bleed buildup, it also has a special perk that makes it so that your affliction buildup will not be lost over time. Early on, this can be pretty strong if you love killing enemies by making them bleed to death.

And that is pretty much all you need to know in order to get it. There are a ton more of other legendary weapons to collect in the game, both for Naoe and Yasuke. Just keep progressing through the game and doing the optional side content and you will be swimming in unique weapon variations in no time at all.
