Death Stranding 2 is a game that has been anticipated by many, as it is the much awaited follow up to Kojima’s surprisingly deep and complex “new” game franchise. There are various mechanics that serve to help the protagonist get a quick boost or allow him to recover a bit while out in the wilds. In this guide, we will be showing you where to find all of the hot springs in the game.
Death Stranding 2 – All Hot Spring Locations
There are a total of 9 hot springs to be found all around the map. Getting to them is very straightforward, as a map image like the one below is all you really need to actually find them. The issue comes with how you unlock some of them, which we will briefly go through below as well.
Here is a list that briefly describes each spot. To find them, head to the general locations marked in the map image under the list itself:
Hot Spring #1. Miracle Spring – The first one is just near The Motherhood, which will require you to progress through the main questline first before you can actually make use of it. To the west of where that facility is located, you will find
Hot Spring #2. Heartman’s Spring – You get the second hot spring as a freebie after you put the bucket on your head in the first one. This will also be the only way you get to start digging for the other ones, as you will be given the Hot Spring Digger tool after the first two.
Hot Spring #3. Chiral Spring – In the map, it can be found right between where Heartman’s Lab and The Dowser are located. Just keep traveling along the cliffs between those two spots nad you should be able to find it.
Hot Spring #4. Metallic Spring – This can be found on the snowy mountains somewhere close to where the Chronobiologist is located in the map.
Hot Spring #5. Digestive Spring – This is found somewhere near the lake, at the southwestern corner. Check around northeast from where The Lone Commander is in the map and you will eventually find this.
Hot Spring #6. Recharging Spring – This is found on the snowy areas between BPAS and The Phantom Smith. For more precise directions, the best we can give you is that it is directly north of BPAS, just make sure not to go past where the latter is as you have gone too far if so.
Hot Spring #7. Clairvoyant Spring – After finding the last one, now you can go north past The Phantom Smith. More specifically, it is directly to the northeast of where The Phantom Smith is located in the map.
Hot Spring #8. Tar Spring – This is very straightforward as it is just to the south of where The Tar Therapist is found in the map. If you have already unlocked the Clairvoyant Spring, then you will know that this is found just to the east of where it is.
Hot Spring #9. Healing Spring – The Healing Spring is all the way back to the western part of the map. Check somewhere to the north or northwest of where the Animal Shelter is in the map and you should eventually find the spot for this specific hot spring.`
And that is pretty much everything you need to know in order to find each of the hot springs in the game. The first two, again, are practically free as they are required to even start unlocking the rest of these. After unlocking the first two, you can do all of the other seven in any order you desire.
Also, take note that all nine locations are found in the region of Australia. There will be no hot springs to be found in Mexico, so you do not need to worry about backtracking for that if you are trying to complete everything 100%
With all of that out of the way, make sure to also check out our guide on how to rest in Death Stranding 2. Hot springs are not the only way Sam can kick back and relax while traveling around the area and connecting stuff in Australia. By learning how to rest while on the go, even without then presence of a hot spring, you can ensure Sam’s survival in the long run!
