Whether you’re a veteran or a new player, it can be hard to pick the best location for your castle base in V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil.

There are over a hundred possible castle locations in the game, after all! Plus, the update added the new Oakveil Woodlands region, which has its own set of castle plots. What’s more, some of the old plots got some tweaks that might have made them less desirable.

Read on and we’ll tell you the best locations to use as your base in V Rising 1.1!

Best Base Location | V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil

There are two base locations that we consider to be the best if you wish to build in the new Oakveil Woodlands region. They both are on the easternmost edge of the region. We’ve marked both of them on the map above for you.

Now, both of these locations are relatively similar. Space-wise, the northern one is 175 tiles in a single section, while the southern one is 176 tiles in two sections. Similarly, both of them are fairly open with multiple entryways, making them hard to defend.

What makes these two particularly desirable is what’s near them. You can find a Vampire Waypoint directly to the north and a Cave entrance to the west. The Cave takes you to the northeastern part of the Farbane Woods region. So, while these base locations aren’t particularly amazing on their own, they are decently connected!

Aside from these new spots, all of the best locations from previous regions are still valid. In fact, they are still better than the new locations in Oakveil Woodlands overall. As a refresher, these are some locations generally considered best in older regions!

Farbane Woods – In the northwestern corner of the region. This plot borders Silverlight Hills and Dunley Farmlands, which allows you to gather resources in multiple regions.

Dunley Farmlands – In the east, bordering the Ruins of Mortium. A single entrance and it being divided into two sections makes it easy to defend, great for PvP.

Silverlight Hills – On the northwestern corner of the region. The largest castle plot in the entire game by far, making it stand out if you just want a huge base.

Now that you know all the best plots in V Rising 1.1, you just need to pick which location sounds most enticing to you! Make good use of the new Redistribution System in your new base, too.
