The Aberration Cave is added to the newly released Fjordur map. It’s not a complete copy of the ones in Aberration, but it does have a handful of familiar features you can come across.

The Aberration Cave in the Fjordur map in ARK: Survival Evolved is a bit different than its original counterpart on the Aberration map. For one, it doesn’t contain all of the creatures you normally find in the original Aberration.

One such example is the Nameless. However, you can find Nameless Venom in this cave alongside other Aberration resources. If you don’t know where to find the cave, I suggest you check out the guide below.

How to Find the Aberration Cave in ARK Fjordur

The Aberration Cave we’re talking about here is the one that comes with purple crystals and useful resources.

This is a terrestrial cave entrance on the main continent of Midgard, which you can find around coordinates 56.8–57.1 Latitude and 84.7–85.0 Longitude.

You can easily spot it by the two big purple crystal clusters at the opening.

That said, if it’s your first time playing on the Fjordur map, it’s worth noting that this cave isn’t a carbon copy of the original Aberration map’s cavern systems.

Nonetheless, it managed to mimic the aesthetics and resource types.

For starters, you can find blue gems, red gems, and crystals. You can also find places to charge or build at terminals. It’s also where the Megapithecus boss terminal exists deeper in the cave system, so this cave doubles as a boss progression point if you’re doing that raid.

It’s worth noting that the classic Aberration creatures like Nameless don’t spawn here naturally. In fact, there are no Nameless creatures on Fjordur at all.

Surprisingly, you can still harvest Nameless Venom from orange rock nodes inside, which is invaluable if you’re trying to raise baby Rock Drakes.

There are hostile spawns, however, with creatures like Karkinos and other Aberration-style enemies roaming the area, but it’s not as hostile or as biome-intense as the actual Aberration map.

Tips Before You Go In

Before you go in, I recommend that you bring a decent dino with you. The cave is worth a visit for loot and resources, but don’t underestimate it.

The Karkinos, for example, can smack you around if you poke around without situational awareness.

Also, depending on your game mode (singleplayer vs. multiplayer), loot crates and resources inside may not spawn immediately.

In single-player, sometimes you need to stay inside for a few minutes for the game to stream the spawns.
