The Sanguine Elixir is an all-new consumable item that you can use to increase the taming progress of an unconscious creature by 30%. It also lets you increase a baby dino’s imprint progress by the same amount. This makes it a really useful item, albeit being only usable once.
However, getting this consumable isn’t as easy as it seems. In this guide, I’ll show you how exactly you can get your hands on the Sanguine Elixir.
How to Get Sanguine Elixir in ARK Fjordur

The Sanguine Elixir is a pretty unique consumable item. The only way to obtain it is by taming a Desmodus, which is a bat-like creature that’s unique to Fjordur. You can find several of them in the crystal cave.
Once you have a Desmodus, you’ll also need lots of Blood Packs in its inventory. Specifically, you’ll need 200 Blood Packs in order to craft a single Sanguine Elixir. Luckily, Desmodus has the ability to produce Blood Packs in its inventory whenever it attacks a creature. This means that you don’t have to worry about crafting lots of Blood Packs.

This also makes the Blood Extraction Syringe obsolete, so you no longer need to spend some health just to craft some Blood Packs. As long as you equipped your Desmodus with the appropriate saddle, it should automatically craft Sanguine Elixirs whenever for every 200 Blood Packs in its inventory.
How to Use the Sanguine Elixir
After crafting a Sanguine Elixir, you can then use it while standing next to an unconscious creature to increase the taming progress by 30%. Alternatively, you can also hasten the hatching speed of eggs by 30%. It’s important to remember that you have to use the elixir by yourself, not feed it to a target creature.
Also, you can only use it once, and any succeeding uses won’t have any effect on your target creature.
