If Fortnite is known for its Guns and range Combat, then RumbleVerse is all about Melee. No Guns, no Sniping from long distances, just pure, straight-up Brawling.
But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have range attacks in the game. The world is littered with objects that are good for range attacks.
Chairs, tables, garbage cans, and almost any item you can pick up can be a potential melee weapon or range tool. All of these things can give you range damage if you know how.
How to throw items for ranged damage in Rumbleverse
To set this up, simply pick up the object you want to throw and press the L1 button. This would activate your aim mode where you can target wherever or whoever you want to launch the object to.
Once you found a suitable target, just tap on the R1 button to throw the item. Hitting them would give you range damage.
Not all items are suitable for range damage. And range attacks are significantly weaker than straight-up brawling in this game. But having an option of dealing damage from afar would be useful, especially when chasing enemies who are running for their lives because they are on their last to be killed.
We tested a few items to throw at people and you might want to find out how they fared in the damage department.
Find the right item to throw
The Garbage can deal around 250 hit-point damage. For comparison, we also picked up a chicken drumstick that is a health item. But when thrown towards an enemy, it does 15 points of damage.
The heavier the item, the bigger the damage. Sadly you cant stock up on garbage cans and are limited to only the one you are carrying. Chairs and other smaller items on the other hand, can be stocked in your inventory where you can switch them on the fly and let loose on unsuspecting brawlers in the map.
