Rubber is a very important resource in Voidtrain. As you progress through the game’s many levels, you’ll need to craft new items and upgrade your train to go even further.

One of the resources used for those activities is rubber. However, the game doesn’t really tell you where and how to get it.

This guide will tell you how.

One of the most reliable methods to obtain Acid is to get it as a reward for clearing waves in the Arena Islands.

Each wave features different rewards, and Acid happens to be one of them. The more waves you can clear, the more Acid you can receive. However, keep in mind that the higher the wave, the more difficult it can be.

Once you reach a point where you don’t want to continue, you can just choose the Take Rewards option on the left.

One important thing to note is that you should first unlock Acid Gathering before you can gather Acid in the Void. This is a Phase 20 technology that requires 3 Brass Wire and 3 Sealant to do so.

As for Rubber, you first need to unlock its blueprint via the Research Table. It requires 2x Acid and 2x Resin to do so.

Once you have unlocked the blueprint for Rubber, you can then start to craft it via the Lab II workbench using 1 Acid and 1 Resin.

With the Rubber unlocked, you can then proceed to craft items such as the Grappling Hook II. Aside from that, you can also use it to upgrade certain parts of your train.

One particular use is to upgrade your train’s traction from Traction I to Traction II in order to increase its overall length by 1. It’s also needed to upgrade to the Armory II workbench.
