As you explore the large world of Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online, you might find yourself wishing you had a trusty mount to ride.

First of all, you should first get your own mount. The easiest way to get a mount is to just buy a horse at a stable.

The cheapest horse from a stable costs around 10.000 Gold, making it the most accessible mount in the entire game.

Do note that mounts are per account, not per character. That means that all your characters can use the same mounts!

Once you’ve obtained your mount, you should get a notification saying that it was added to your collection.

Open the game’s menu and navigate to the Collections tab then to the Mounts section. Find the mount you wish to use and select it here to assign it to your character.

Your current mount will have a white checkmark on it, letting you know that it’s properly assigned.

Once you’re done, you can now summon your mount anytime. Just press and hold View on Xbox, the Touchpad on PlayStation, or the H key on PC.

You can also unsummon and dismount your mount by pressing the same input.

As a last note, you can jump and sprint while using your mount too! Both actions are mapped to the same buttons as when you are on foot.

That’s everything you need to know about how to use your mount in The Elder Scrolls Online. With a mount, you’ll never have to travel long distances on foot again!
