Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Nessie Achievement Guide

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has 24 Achievement Trophies for you to collect. They aren’t necessary to complete the game but having these trophies will look cool on your game profile and serve as bragging rights to your friends.

Each mission has a set of objectives to complete. Usually, Trophy achievements are nabbed when you clear the game with an extra set of challenges.

In this guide, we will show you how to complete the Nessie Achievement in Mission 4: Wetworks, where you will have to reach the barge without getting seen in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Nessie Achievement Guide in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

When you start the mission “Wetworks” swim towards the Dock and kill the guard patrolling the area. You can do this in many ways but for the Nessie Achievement, you will need to remain undetected until you reach the barge area.

In this playthrough, we used one of our throwing knives to kill him from afar. Head towards the enemy and grab the Silenced Pistol he drops. This will be your main weapon for this mission.

Kill the Enemy on the Next Dock Further Ahead

Swim towards your objective while occasionally going underwater. Be mindful of the diamond alert meter that pops up when about to be spotted.

A yellow diamond signifies the enemy is suspicious and will be scanning the area for you. A red diamond means they’ve spotted you and will engage you. If you find yourself getting caught, reset your game to the nearest save point or restart the mission all over again.

Head to the Foot of the Second Dock and Target the Sentries on the Other Side

Go to the area where you felled the second guard. On the opposite side to your left will be another Dock area with 2 guards. Kill them from afar using your pistol.

Make sure that you kill them without alerting the other or the Achievement won’t be given at the end.

Dive and shoot

Once you clear the enemies on the docks, you will have to go to open waters. Keep yourself submerged and check your surroundings for boat patrols. The first one will be easy to spot when you leave the docks and swim in the open.

Dive and wait for the patrol boat to get by and send a bullet to the back of the patrol’s head and continue.

Reach the other side of the Dock

Swim towards the Dock on the opposite side. You will have to cross the Dock area to take you further in. Once you reach the end of the Dock, dive down and swim under the boats.

Be careful when resurfacing since there will be another patrol in front of you which you will have to dispatch stealthily.

Make Your Way to the Second Checkpoint

Clear all the patrolling guards in the docks before heading back to the water. Once you reach the checkpoint, move slowly and underwater. Kill the guard on the patrol boats as they move past and continue their way toward the barge.

Clear the Enemies by the Barge

Once you reach the barge area, swim towards the left side of the area. Stick to the shadows and proceed to kill all 5 enemies in the area. Doing this will give you the Nessie Achievement Trophy.
