Zenless Zone Zero: Where to Spend Energy, Interknot Level 1-20 | Battery Charge Guide

Spend your energy where it matters!

In Zenless Zone Zero, energy (battery charge) is used in Combat Simulation missions. These missions are very important as they give you various materials which are required to level up your agents, W-Engines, etc.

In this guide, I will tell you the best way to utilize this energy when you are in Interknot Level 1 to 20. Let’s get started!

Where to Spend Energy During Interknot Level 1-20

To actually make use of the energy, you first need to unlock the HIA VR Center. To do so, you need to progress in the story and it will automatically unlock once you get far enough. It should take you 3 to 7 hours depending on how fast you are and how much dialogues or cutscenes you skip.

VR Center

Once you have unlocked it, you can spend energy through Combat Simulation missions. However, since energy is limited (especially if you are free-to-play), you must use it wisely.

Now there are going to be two categories of players: those who can dedicate more time to the game and those who have a very limited amount of time available to spend on the game. So, I have mentioned the best way to utilize energy for both types of players which you can find below.

For Players with Very Limited Time

If you do not have more than 30 minutes or an hour to spend on the game each day, then spend half of your energy in Agent Promotion and the other half in W-Engine Modification. These are Combat Simulation missions that you will find in the VR center.

Also make sure to drink coffee every day so you can get energy and more rewards.

For Players with More Time to Spend on the Game

Now if you are someone who can spend ample amounts of time in the game. Then it is best that you save up as much energy as possible until you reach level 20. Because at level 20, you will unlock the Challenge Level 20 of Combat Simulation which offers much better rewards. Getting to level 20 will take you about 7-8 hours if you skip all the cutscenes.

So, the best way to do this is to spend only 20-30 of your energy and then save up the rest. This is to make sure you are not hitting the energy cap. And spend the energy in Agent Promotion.

2nd Category

Under Agent Promotion, farm every type of Certification Seal (this includes Attack, Stun, Anomaly, Support and Drill).

All Seals

The reason for farming every single type of Certification Seal is so you can promote all your agents to get their promotion rewards. Promoting your agent at level 10 rewards you with a Master Tape which is used in the standard banner. If you promote 10 agents, that means 10 extra pulls.

Whether it's the old classics like Final Fantasy, Advance Wars on the GBA, JRPGs like Persona 4 Golden, Disgaea on the Vita or mainstream titles like Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, Haider has played them all. Even with 200+ titles under his belt, his passion for gaming is just as strong as it was a decade ago. Writing has given him the chance to spread this passion with others.
