Zenless Zone Zero: Upgrade 1 Agent to Trust Level 3 Guide

Zenless Zone Zero has a couple of Trials that players can complete to get lucrative rewards (including Polychrome). Each Trial is composed of a set of tasks.

In Trial No. 08, one of the tasks requires you to upgrade the Trust of a single agent up to Level 3. This guide will show you how to unlock the trust system of the game and also how to achieve Level 3 Trust with Anby to complete this task.

Upgrade 1 Agent to Trust Level 3

The first order of business is to unlock the trust system. To do so, you have to complete Chapter 2 of the story mode and reach Chapter 2 Interlude – Intermission. At this point of the game, you will be tasked to sleep.

When you go to bed, you will receive a message from Anby. Once your conversation is over, go downstairs and talk to Wise (or Belle). The game will now teach you how to use DM and invite agents.

Once this short tutorial is over, fast-travel to the Gadget Store. You will find Anby sitting on a bench near the Gadget Store. Talk to her and select the following dialogue options when they come up:

• “Sure!“
• “That makes a lot of sense“

Doing this will complete the quest called Anby’s Problem and unlock the trust system of this game. This will allow us to get Anby’s Trust Level to 3.

Magazine Raffle

Now that you have unlocked the trust system, you can invite agents through the DM menu. But remember that an agent can only be invited once per day.

Open your DM menu and then click on the icon located at the top left side of the screen. After that, scroll down and select Anby Demara. Finally, click on Send. The image below highlights all the options you need to click on.

In the conversation with Anby, select “Let’s go to Howl’s Newsstand!“. This will trigger a quest called Magazine Raffle. To complete it, fast-travel to the Newsstand and talk to Anby who will be standing there. Select the following dialogue options as they come up:

• “I’ll help you buy one.“
• “That’s too much.“
• “If only she followed her own words…“

Anby’s Movie Time

Once the previous quest is completed, you will get another quest called Anby’s Movie Time. Go to the Video Store and you will find Anby standing outside. Talk to her to complete this quest as well. This will also unlock Anby as a Promoter in the Video Store.

Weather and Music

The next day, open your DM menu and invite Anby. Select “Let’s go to Bardic Needle!” when the option comes during the conversation. This will trigger a quest called Weather and Music. Now, fast-travel to Bardic Needle (Music Store) and talk to Anby when you get there. Select the following dialogue options:

• “What’s the connection between music and the weather?“
• “That’s something you’d say, alright“

Your trust with Anby will be increased and the quest will be marked completed after the conversation.

Secret Number

Once again the next day, open your DM menu and invite Anby. Select “Let’s go for a stroll on Sixth Street!” this time. This will trigger a quest called Secret Number. To get it done, fast-travel to the Coffee Shop and make your way to the phone booth in that area. You will find Anby standing there, go ahead and talk to her. Select the following dialogue options:

• “What would you like to tell me?“
• “Why doesn’t she do it herself?“
• “I see.“
• “Dial 141414.“
• “A hospital? What do you mean?“

Once the conversation is finished, your trust with Anby will increase and the quest will be completed.

Newsstand Encounter

After inviting an agent a couple of times, there’s a chance for them to appear on the streets. For Anby, it is in front of the Newsstand. When you see her there, talk to her and select “How about buying it together with someone else?“. This will complete the encounter and increase trust with Anby.

If Anby doesn’t appear for you then check for her on another day. Or you can simply invite her through your DM menu and do one of the quests mentioned above again.

Upgrade – Precious Document

Once you have done all that is mentioned above in this guide, you will have enough trust with Anby to trigger a quest called Upgrade – Precious Document.

To complete this quest, fast-travel to Captain Mewmew and then make your way to the Dumpster shown below. You will find Anby there, talk to her. After that, interact with the Dumpster and search all the layers.

Once you do that, talk to Anby again and select the following dialogues options as they come up:

• “It’s an IOU!“
• “Did Nicole throw it away?“

After this, the quest will be completed and your trust level with Anby will reach 3. Open up the Primer and claim your rewards for completing the “Upgrade 1 Agent to Trust Level 3” task.
