XDefiant: How to Unlock RPK-74 Weapon

The RPK-74 is one of the three light machine guns that you can use in XDefiant. LMGs in this game are not the fastest or don’t have the highest damage, but they more than make up for it by their incredibly high magazine size.

The RPK-74 isn’t any different in this regard as it has a magazine size of 45. This is lower than the other LMGs in this game, but the RPK-74 at the same time also has an incredibly fast reload. While both the other LMGs take 9+ seconds to reload, the RPK-74 takes just 3.

To use the weapon though, you must first unlock it. We will be looking at how the RPK-74 can be unlocked in XDefiant.

How to Unlock RPK-74 Weapon

To unlock the RPK-74 in this game, you will need to deal 10,000 damage with LMGs. You can use any of the 3 LMGs to complete this challenge.

10,000 seems like a very high number, but its important to note that challenges in this game do not have to be completed in one game. So while this challenge might take you a few games to complete, difficulty should not be an issue.

Best Way to get LMG Kills

Getting 10,000 damage is simple enough, but at the beginning of the game, only one LMG is unlocked. So to complete the challenge, you will need to utilize the M249 LMG. Everyone has access to the M249 and you can equip it to any custom loadout in the game.

Additionally, the M249 can also be found in the preset loadouts under the LMG preset. Over here you will find a full loadout already equipped with an ideal M249 loadout. Alongside the M249, the loadout also gives you the Proximity Mine.

You can use the preset loadouts for as long as you like, so try to utilize them for other challenges too.
