Wuthering Waves just released a huge update recently, and it includes a whole lot of new content, including the region of Rinascita, a ton of quests, exploration objectives, and more. In this guide, we will be covering the “Silver Moon? Crimson Moon” exploration side quest that you can complete while roaming around the Whisperwind Haven area.
“Silver Moon? Crimson Moon?” Exploration Side Quest Guide
For this side quest, all you need to do is find five swords all around the Whisperwind Haven zone. After collecting every single sword, you have to fight a certain boss. With that in mind, let us get to the location of each sword!
First up, the Knight of Cowardice can be found hiding in a bush just a short trek away from the Resonance Beacon at the southern part of the region, just outside of Egla Town. After speaking with them, you will be tasked with fighting a gang of plushies nearby.
Simply follow the highlighted part of the map a bit to the northwest of the Knight of Cowardice’s hiding spot to find the sword on the ground. Defeat the plushies guarding it and claim the Sword of Cowardice. Now you can proceed to the next one!
Next, go to the road below the Resonance Beacon to the south of Polyphemos Windmills, just slightly north of Mistveil bay. There, you will find a series of chests all conveniently lined up. Try to loot one of them and a cutscene will play, in which the Knight of Greed will attack you.
Simply defeat the Knight of Greed in order to get the Sword of Greed. After that, you are also free to loot the rest of the chests that he was guarding. The fight itself is nothing to write home about, and it is scaled close to your level.
For the third sword, continue down the road going west. Eventually, you will encounter the Knight of Atrocity directly to the east of Mistveil Bay. He will be fighting a bunch of random NPCs on the road, but if you approach him, a cutscene will play.
Following the cutscene, you will immediately be thrust into a fight with the Knight of Atrocity. Just like the previous one, defeat this knight in order to get the Sword of Atrocity. That is now three blades down. Two more to go!
For the next one, head over to the bridge leading out of Egla Town. There, you will find the Knight of Vanity, who is having a standoff with another knight on the bridge. This time, you will be fighting two enemies, as both versions of the knight will attack you.
Just like the previous ones, it is a straightforward fight. Both of the knights share a single health bar, so deal damage to either or both of them until they go down. Once that is over, you will get the Sword of Vanity. You can also absorb their echoes to unlock both the Diurnus Knight and Nocturnus Knight.
Finally, the Sword of Ignorance is found at the Silver Moon Grove, which is the island directly north of Whisperwind Haven. There, you will find the final knight, the Knight of Ignorance, staring off into the sea at the southern edge of the island.
Simply approach it and beat him up like you did with the rest of the knights that came before. As you would expect, it will drop the Sword of Ignorance upon being defeated. Once that is done, there is one last step you need to do.
The Knight of Ignorance coming in last is incredibly convenient, as with all five swords on hand, a new quest marker will appear at the middle of the Silver Moon Grove. If you make your way to the glowing part of the map, you will eventually spot several Sword Pedestals marked by red beams of light.
Insert a sword into each of these pedestals and a cutscene will suddenly start. At the small lake in the middle of the island, a sword will appear. Before you interact with it, set your time to around 17:00 to 18:00.
When the time is right, the sword will suddenly shift out of its stone form. Interact with it to start another cutscene, in which the Knight of Crimson Moon will appear. This is the final boss of the side quest, and just like all of the other knights, beat the heck out of it with your best team.
It is surprisingly an easy fight, so you will very likely have no issues taking it down. Once it is dead, one last cutscene will play, and a few chests will appear near the lake. Congratulations, you have now completed this optional side activity!
