“Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise” is the final quest of the “Shadow of the Towers” questline in Wuthering Waves.

This quest requires you to climb a tower, just like the ones before it in the questline. Enter the Command Rise and deal with all the treacherous traps and enemies as you make your way to the top. Then, defeat the final boss to claim your rewards!

Read on and we’ll tell you everything you need to know to start and complete the “Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise” quest in Wuthering Waves.

Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise Guide | Wuthering Waves

You can start “Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise” in Wuthering Waves after you complete both of the previous quests in the questline: Twilight Rise and Resounding Rise. Once you’ve done that, travel to Insula and Itzel’s camp in Thessaleo Falls.

Talk with Insula and Itzel and then travel to Command Rise to the southwest. You can get there by using Flight or by just swimming there. Alternatively, you can fast-travel to the nearby Echo Challenge if you have it available.

Either way, approach Command Rise and enter it to continue the quest.

Progression throughout Command Rise is very straightforward if you’re tracking the quest in-game. Follow the quest markers as they’ll guide you to visions of Liel, which look like the one above. These will guide you through the tower. Just be warned that there are many Tacet Discords throughout the tower, so be ready to fight at all times!

Proceed past the first vision and you’ll also notice that you’re being attacked by lasers. This is the Abyssal Patricius’ doing. You’ll have to avoid their laser attacks as you climb up the tower, as they won’t stop until you defeat them at the end.

Climbing the Tower

A noteworthy thing about this tower is that there are many parkour sections. You’ll be forced to either grapple onto or run across bookcases all the way up the tower. Falling off can result in you having to redo entire sections of the tower, mostly because the walls aren’t climbable.

The Abyssal Patricius will also be attacking you with lasers throughout these parkour sections. Be careful to avoid its attacks. Sometimes the game will slow down and ask you to quickly press a button to dodge the laser.

After the first bookcase section, you’ll come face to face with the Abyssal Patricius. Fight them with all your might and deal as much damage as you can. However, you can’t defeat them here, they’ll run away once you deal enough damage. Nonetheless, the damage carries over to your next encounter with them!

Scare off the Abyssal Patricius and follow the quest markers to get introduced to the next mechanic for the Command Rise. At times, there will be no visible path. Pay attention to Liel’s vision, though, and you’ll notice large orange glyphs in key spots. Use your grapple on them to reveal a path forward.

Later on, you’ll see visions of archers who try to attack you as well. You can’t hit them or get rid of them at all. All you can do is carefully time your dodges to avoid their attacks as you continue your climb up the tower.

Ultimately, the climb is pretty straightforward as it has no real puzzles or anything like that. You just have to follow the quest markers and Liel’s vision, as they tell you exactly where to go at all times. However, you do need to be careful not to fall during parkour and combat sections.

Defeating the Abyssal Patricius

Eventually, you’ll reach the very top of the Command Rise. At this point, the Abyssal Patricius will have nowhere left to run. It’s time to fight it head-on and finish it off!

Thankfully, the Abyssal Patricius is actually not that tough. Its main gimmick is that it can summon clones. Attacking these clones won’t hurt it, so you should ideally ignore them to focus on the real Abyssal Patricius.

To make things easier, pay attention to what Itzel and Insula are doing during the fight. They generally only attack the real copy and ignore the clones. You just have to follow their lead, essentially.

Once you take down the Abyssal Patricius, a cutscene will start. Watch it, then claim the Premium Supply Chest and go through the portal that spawned in the boss room.

The portal will take you to the top of the Command Rise, where Itzel and Insula await. Talk with both of them to finish the quest and claim your rewards!

That’s all you need to know to clear the “Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise” quest in Wuthering Waves. It’s mostly a test of your parkour and platforming skills, as trying to climb the tower without falling off is the real challenge!

There are no more towers for you to climb in Rinascita, at least for the Shadow of the Towers quest. However, you can do the “Skyward Voyage” quest instead to help an old captain set out on his last voyage!
