Ragunna City is the main hub of the Rinascita region. It’s a thriving port city with many devout followers of the Sentinel, Imperator. As such, it’s also one of the first locations you want to visit during Chapter 2 of the story!
Read on and we’ll tell you everything you need to know to reach Ragunna City in Rinascita in Wuthering Waves 2.0. Note that we’ll try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible since it ties to Chapter 2 of the story.
How to Reach Rinascita Ragunna City 2.0 Zone | Wuthering Waves
If you wish to reach Ragunna City in the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves as fast as possible, you must meet the following requirements:

All Mount Gjallar Tape of Last Words in Wuthering WavesMay 13, 2026- Reach Union Level 14. Your Union Level will increase naturally as you complete quests and activities. If you want to raise your Union Level fast, do activities that consume Waveplates, such as Simulation Training.
- Complete “Chapter 1 Act III: Ominous Star” as part of the main story.
Once you’ve met both of these criteria, you’ll unlock Early Access for the Rinascita region. This allows you to skip the story up and jump straight to “Chapter 2 Prologue: Through the Sea Thou Break”. To do so, open the Events menu and look for “Next Stop: Rinascita”. Click on Early Access Available to start.
While you do skip a good chunk of the story like this, you’ll get a summary of the events between Chapter 1 Act III through Chapter 1 Act VIII. You can go back to continue the Chapter 1 story from where you left off later.
Alternatively, if you don’t wish to skip any of the Chapter 1 story, you simply need to complete “Chapter 1 Act VIII: Beyond the Shore’s End.” Doing so will naturally unlock “Chapter 2 Prologue: Through the Sea Thou Break”.
Chapter 2 Prologue Progression
Whether you use the Early Access feature or not to start the Chapter 2 Prologue, you’ll have to travel to the Greenhouse in Tethys Hub of the Black Shores region. Talk to the Shorekeeper at the Greenhouse to initiate a conversation and continue the quest.
Then, travel to the port near the TD Observatory in Black Shores.
Talk with Aalto there to go on a voyage to Rinascita. This starts a long linear sequence of cutscenes and battles. Be sure to have time for it all, as it can take quite a while to go through! It’s also a completely linear quest, so you just need to follow along with the story to progress.
Eventually, the ship you’re on will dock at a port. At this point, look for a green-haired gondolier near the sea. Talk with him and accept to ride the gondola to further progress the story.
Watch the next cutscenes as you ride the gondola. You’ll finally reach Ragunna City in the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves once the cutscene ends. This will also complete the Chapter 2 Prologue and let you start Chapter 2 Act I, if you wish!
That said, you’re now also free to explore the city as you wish. It might be a good idea to hunt down the hidden Sonance Caskets in Ragunna City now! You can trade them in for some nice rewards, such as Astrite and various materials.
