One of the objectives for “Dreamscape Node: Lord of the Windmill” in Wuthering Waves is to counterattack Chop Chop’s laser beam 4 times.

This is mostly a matter of timing. The laser beam itself works pretty much the same as all other parryable attacks in the game, so you just need to give Chop Chop a good smack at the right time. Do this 4 times and you’ll clear the objective!

In this guide, we’ll give you tips to help you successfully land 4 counterattacks against Chop Chop’s laser beam attack.

Counterattack Chop Chop’s Laser Beam 4 Times | Dreamscape Node: Lord of the Windmill

The “Counterattack Chop Chop’s Laser Beam 4 Times” objective is part of the “Dreamscape Node: Lord of the Windmill” side quest in Wuthering Waves, as we mentioned before. You can start it by going to the spot marked above. It’s in Polyphemos Windmills in the Rinascita region.

As the objective states, you need to counterattack Chop Chop’s laser beam a total of 4 times throughout the fight.

Much like other counterable attacks in the game, Chop Chop’s laser beam is signaled by a pair of Weakness Halos. Watch out for the halos as shown in the image above and wait for them to overlap each other, then quickly attack Chop Chop.

Keep in mind that the game’s a bit more lenient if you attack early compared to if you attack late. If you time it right, the camera will zoom in and Chop Chop will stagger for a brief moment.

Also, keep in mind that the timing is heavily dependant on which character you use. Rover (Havoc)’s Resonance Skill is an easy attack to counter with, for example.

If you’re having trouble landing the counterattack, make sure that your character is very close to Chop Chop. Yes, even if they use ranged weapons!

Some players also find it much easier to parry the attacks by swapping characters. To do so, time the character swap a bit before the Weakness Halos overlap. The character you swap to will do a swift attack as they get on the field, which can trigger the counterattack.

Ultimately, trying to counterattack Chop Chop’s laser beam 4 times in Wuthering Waves is all about practice and patience. Keep trying and you’ll get it for sure! If you need a break, try doing the Overflowing Palette puzzles in Whisperwind Haven. Taking a breather between attempts can help!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now!
