“Where Stars Slumber” is one of the currently ongoing events in Wuthering Waves, and one of its many tasks is to “Complete the Hedgepuff Challenge.”
The task itself simply requires you to take down the Hedgepuff, a special Tacet Discord that appears in the Black Shores Archipelago. However, the Hedgepuff is surprisingly tough, being a Lv. 120 enemy. On top of that, it also has some prerequisites you need to deal with before you even encounter it.
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to find and defeat the Hedgepuff to complete its challenge!
Complete the Hedgepuff Challenge | Wuthering Waves
To start and complete the Hedgepuff challenge in Wuthering Waves, you need to get your Data Hub to Level 1. To do so, first meet with KU-Cass in the center of the Tethys Hub in the Black Shores Archipelago. This is part of the “Retro Game Collector” side quest.
Talk with KU-Cass and offer to deliver KU-Cass Cartridges to him. You can get KU-Cass Cartridges by simply progressing through the main story for the region. That means that you should have enough to get your Data Hub to Level 1 as soon as you first meet KU-Cass.
Alternatively, you can also get KU-Cass Cartridges by completing other tasks in the region, such as Yhoran’s Tactical Trials.
Once that’s done, go north of the TD Observatory in the Black Shores Archipelago region to find the Hedgepuff. The exact location is marked on the map above, but we warn you to be well-prepared before going there!
The Hedgepuff is a Level 120 enemy, regardless of what SOL3 Phase you’re in. It has a massive amount of HP and it also resists the Glacio element. It seems to not have any other weaknesses or resistances, however.
While fighting the Hedgepuff, take particular care when it shoots bubbles. Touching these bubbles will temporarily trap your Resonator, allowing the Hedgepuff to slam onto them and deal massive damage. As such, it’s also a good idea to bring characters with solid mobility to avoid these annoying bubble attacks.
Manage to take the Hedgepuff down, though, and you’ll complete its challenge for the “Where Stars Slumber” event in Wuthering Waves. You’ll also get 3 Supply Chests as a reward, as well as the “Giant Balloon” trophy. Not too shabby for putting down an insane pufferfish, huh?
