One of the coolest new additions to Wuthering Waves 1.1 is the Beguiling Melody weapon, but you can only find its location by completing the “Dance Dance Chelonian” quest.

This quest is a fairly simple one, at least. You’ll basically need to help a pair of Hoartoises fend off some predators in the Mt. Firmament region. Then, celebrate with a little dance and the weapon is all yours!

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to clear this quest and claim your sweet new musical weapon.

Dance Dance Chelonian Quest | Beguiling Melody Weapon Location

Dance Dance Chelonian quest start

You can start the “Dance Dance Chelonian!” quest after you complete Chapter 1, Act 7 of the main story. At that point, the quest marker for “Dance Dance Chelonian!” should appear in the western part of the Mt. Firmament region. It’s slightly northeast of Xuanji Ridges, as shown above.

Meeting the Hoartoise

Approach the location and you should find a small patch of land in the middle of a lake. As you get closer, you’ll notice that a Hoartoise is fighting some Tacet Discords. Help the poor turtle buddy out by taking out the enemies to continue the quest!

Hoartoise second location

Once you win the battle, we highly recommend that you start tracking the quest in-game. The Hoartoise will run away, making you follow after it. It’s not too far from your current location, though, and the quest markers make it easy to follow. Reach the destination and you’ll get into yet another fight.

Hoartoise third location

After the fight, the Hoartoise will run away again taking the nearest bridge. Follow after it again to get into a third fight at the other end of the bridge. Defeat the Tacet Discords and protect the Hoartoise one last time!

Journal location

When you send the Tacet Discords packing, you’ll notice a small journal on the floor where the fight took place. Interact with it and read it. You’ve been invited to the Chelonian Dance Troupe! All you have to do is go back to the small patch of land on the lake where you first met the Hoartoise.

Dancing to Get the Beguiling Melody Weapon | Wuthering Waves 1.1

Rhythm minigame start

You will find the Hoartoises there, seemingly charging up a new spherical device. This is the location for the Beguiling Melody but there’s still one more step left to complete the “Dance Dance Chelonian!” quest. Interact with the sphere to start one of Wuthering Waves’ rhythm minigames.

Playing the minigame

The rhythm minigame is pretty simple. You just need to press the button shown on the right bottom corner of the screen in time with the music. Pay attention to the large bar in the middle of the screen and press as soon as the notes on the left side of the screen reach the bar. You don’t need to have a perfect score to complete the quest either, so don’t get stressed out trying to get 100%!

Beguiling Melody Location

Once you complete the rhythm minigame, the sphere will open up revealing the location of the Beguiling Melody weapon… you’ve now completed the “Dance Dance Chelonian” quest in Wuthering Waves 1.1 and earned one of the coolest new free weapons in the game! On top of that, you’ll also get the following rewards:

  • 100 Union EXP
  • 10 Astrite
  • 2 Advanced Resonance Potion
  • 1 Advanced Energy Core
  • 6000 Shell Credits
  • Footprints of Huanglong II “Ballad of Sword” Trophy

Now that you’re done with this quest, we also recommend hunting down all of the new recipe locations added in 1.1!
