Wuthering Waves: Absorb Nightmare Clouds in Your Surroundings Guide

With the latest update of Wuthering Waves, a new region called Rinascita was released. It includes a whole lot of new areas, various puzzles and optional side quests to complete, and many more mysteries that you will eventually run into. In this guide, we will be covering nightmare clouds, which you will encounter as you explore certain areas.

Absorb Nightmare Clouds in Your Surroundings Guide

Nightmare Clouds are a type of puzzle that will first require you to turn into Lottie Lost so that you can absorb them in exchange for various rewards. There are a few different types of these, as indicated by the color they have.

Violet ones do not require anything special to keep in mind, you simply approach them and absorb them as Lottie Lost. Pink ones are the same, but you will need to do them in a particular way by absorbing the one with the least number of floating orbs first and continuing in ascending order.

For these ones, simply approach them and hold the absorption ability to start sucking in the orbs. Once a cloud has been cleared out, you are immediately given varying rewards.

For red nightmare clouds, though, you will need you to interact with a nearby book first to activate an enhanced version of your absorption ability. These might be shrouded by lesser nightmare clouds that you will need to clear first, so clear out the violet or pink ones before these.

In certain areas, there are red nightmare clouds that require you to pull pillars around so that you can absorb all of them at once. If you do not do this, they will keep coming back if you try to clear them.

The premise for these is incredibly simple. Just pull the pillars until all of the red nightmare clouds are close together, including those that are on objects that you cannot move. Once they are all grouped up, stand in the middle and use your enhanced absorption skill to get them all.

One thing to note is that these are very prone to bugging out, at least as of writing this guide. In some cases, pillars will not have an option to be pulled. In the event that this happens to you, the only known solution right now is to reset your game.

Logging out and then going back in reportedly fixes this issue when it occurs. Other possible problems may be that you are just not standing in the correct angle to pull it, as it can be a bit finnicky.
