WoW War Within: Strategic Edge Quest Guide

War Within is World of Warcraft‘s 10th expansion, and like all its predecessors, it brings a ton of new content to the game. Besides being WoW’s 10th expansion, War Within is also the first part of the Worldsoul Saga trilogy, with the other 2 set to be released in the near future.

While playing through War Within, you will eventually be tasked with completing the Strategic Edge quest. Completing the quest will give you some very valuable rewards, but the quest can be a bit tricky to do. To help you with it, we will be looking at what exactly the quest requires you to do, and how you can complete it.

Strategic Edge Quest Guide

The Strategic Edge quest will appear in your quest log when you travel to Rak-Zakaz and interact with an NPC named Flynn Fairwind. Flynn will ask for your help in retrieving his blades and 3 pieces of Nerubian Intelligence. So, there are a total of 4 items that you need to retrieve for Flynn to complete the Strategic Edge quest.

If you haven’t found Flynn yet, the map above shows the location you need to go to for the quest. All of the items that you need to collect can be found pretty close to the area where you start the quest. With all that said, what is the exact location of each item that you need?

Nerubian Intelligence #1

For the first piece of Nerubian Intelligence, you will need to make your way to the platform above the spot where you first interact with Flynn. The image above shows the platform you need to get to.

Once you get on top of the platform, you will need to find and defeat a pair of Dependable Skitterlings to get the first Nerubian Intelligence item. The item that you need from them is called “Vial of Used Pheromones”. The Skitterlings are pretty easy to kill

Nerubain Intelligence #2

To get to the next item, you will need to make your way down from the platform.

The item that you need to get here is called “Orders from Siegehold”. You will find this item on a small table with a bunch of papers on it. Do note that as soon as you pick up the item, a bunch of enemies will aggro onto you. So be ready for them, and don’t let them catch you by surprise.

Nerubian Intelligence #3

For the last Nerubian Intelligence item, you will need to make your way into a cave through the cave entrance shown in the image above. Flynn’s Blades can also be found inside this cave.

After entering the cave, turn left and go all the way to the end of the cave. You will find a small group of enemies here, and among them, the item you need to get. The last Nerubian Intelligence item is called “Burning Venom Flask”, and it can be found beside a pit of green liquid.

Flynn’s Blades

With all 3 Nerubian Intelligence items in your possession, all that’s left to collect are Flynn’s Blades.

As soon as you enter the cave that you found the third Nerubian Intelligence item in, look to your right and you’ll be able to see a small group of enemies with a wooden rack behind them that has a weapon inside it.

All you need to do here is go up to the weapon rack and interact with it. Doing this will get you the weapon you need to complete the quest.

Once you’ve collected all 4 items, you can collect your rewards for completing the quest.

When claiming your rewards, you will be presented with 3 different weapons to choose from.

• Kaheti Confiscated Sword
• Kaheti Confiscated Knife
• Kaheti Confiscated Lantern

All 3 are pretty good items, so the one you should go for will depend on which one suits your build the most. You can hover over any of these items for a detailed description of what they do and their stats. Other than one of those items, you will also get a reward of 23 Gold Coins and 40 Silver Coins.
