164 articles“More Than Just a Phase” is a weekly quest you can do within K’aresh in WoW: The War Within. It’s a very simple quest, all it requires you to do is to complete Phase Diving activities! But what does that mean exactly? And how can you minimize the grind out there? Well, we’ll answer all of these questions and tell you how to start the quest!
More Than Just a Phase Quest Guide | WoW: The War Within
To start the “More Than Just a Phase” quest, you need to go talk to Shad’anis at Overlook Zo’Shuul. This area is pretty much in the very center of the K’aresh region, as shown above. Shad’anis’ coordinates are 50.4, 36.4.
Just talk to Shad’anis and take on the “More Than Just a Phase” quest. Remember, this is a weekly quest, so it will reset each week. You get 300 Reputation with The K’aresh Trust and 7 Untethered Coins every time you complete it, so it’s worth doing weekly if you’re going to be exploring K’aresh anyway.
Now, this quest has a single objective: complete Phase Diving activities. This will mainly be two different activities:

Complete an Abundance Event in Zul’Aman – WoW MidnightMay 25, 2026- World Quests that involve Phase Diving. Look for things such as “Phase Diving:” in the name, such as “Phase Diving: Riftbreaker Tza’akir”. Another telltale sign of these quests is that they always have an objective that says something about entering Phase Diving. This is by far your main source of progress, usually earning about 20% or so per quest. Make these your priority.
- Killing mobs while inside Untethered Space. This gives very little overall progress, so we only recommend doing it only when you are very close to 100% completion. If nothing else, try focusing on hunting Elite mobs as they seem to give more progress than regular ones.
Ultimately, this can be a bit of a grind. Either way, to finish the quest, you’ll just need to return to Shad’anis. Report back when you have 100% progress for completing Phase Diving activities and claim your rewards! That’s all you need to do for the “More Than Just a Phase” weekly quest in WoW: The War Within.
