Veiled Experts has arrived in Steam as an Early Access title. This tactical third-person shooter has all the makings of a great shooter game, provided that the developers do it right.
That said, as a new title, Veiled Experts will have some mechanics that new players might not be able to understand right away.
So in this guide, we’ll share with you some tips and tricks that will help you learn the game and hopefully dominate most of your matches.
Ultimate Beginner’s Guide in Veiled Experts
As a team-based shooter, you have to place an emphasis on winning matches as a team. While it’s possible to carry the entire team, working hand-in-hand with your teammates is way easier.
First things first, Veiled Experts actually has a tutorial system where you can learn most of the basics of the game. All you have to do is click the Tutorial button on the menu.
This will then take you to the tutorial which will show you the basic mechanics of the game, such as how to play each game mode, what actions each character can do, how to perform certain actions, and more.
With that out of the way, let’s now talk about the actual tips you can use when playing the game.
Learn the Unique Feature of Each Map
As of now, Veiled Experts only features four different maps. The unique thing about these maps is that each of them features a different weather effect.
For example, one map has a sandstorm effect that will make it harder to detect enemies. There’s also a map filled with fog that will make it easier to ambush your enemies.
Familiarize the Abilities of Each Character
You can choose from nine different characters in the game, each with its own unique abilities.
It’s worth noting that each character has two types of abilities: a signature ability which acts as an active skill and a lepton which is basically a passive skill.
Ideally, you want to pick a character that suits your playstyle. For example, Dmitry has a signature ability called Have a Drink which increases his movement speed for a brief period.
Meanwhile, he has a lepton called Out-boxer which increases his movement speed each time he incapacitates an enemy.
Use Your Money Wisely
You can earn coins whenever you play the game. You then use these coins to purchase weapons at the start of each round.
That said, each weapon has attachments that you can customize to your liking. However, you’ll also need coins for team upgrades which are the Armory, Equipment, and Tactics.
Each upgrade will increase a certain aspect of your team, making your entire team stronger as a whole.
This can have a huge impact on your gameplay, as you can unlock effects like the ability to see your enemies’ HP, improve bandage effectiveness, increase your armor’s durability, and more.
Due to this, it’s really important to decide which you should prioritize first when it comes to spending your coins.
Learn About Your Enemy’s Strategy via the Replay
Lastly, you can view the replay after each round to get an idea of your enemy’s strategy. You can use this information to potentially counter their strategy and come up with your own.
You can also use it to learn about your teammates’ movements so you can decide which is the best course of action to take in the upcoming rounds.
