Reaching Chaos level 20 is a feat that many players want but couldn’t achieve. It requires knowledge, strategy, and more patience. This guide will teach you how to reach level 20 in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Chaos Trial Mode.

Chaos Trial Mode Guide | How to Reach Level 20 in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

To reach level 20, you have to be equipped with the proper set of weapons, builds, and skills. You should also know which set of items and abilities to use in certain situations. Knowing these things will be your keys to reaching level 20.

At Chaos Level 20, you’ll receive the ability to obtain Chaotic gear at a much higher rate. Additionally, you can now obtain Volatile gear from Chaos Dungeon runs. They’re still rare, but their chances of dropping are there. If you want to maximize your drop rate, you can check out this guide on how to farm Chaotic and Volatile gear in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

With that out of the way, here are ten tips that will help you reach that much-coveted level.

Get Legendary Equipment

Swap your normal weapons with legendary weapons, such as the Buffmeister of Agony and Masterwork Handbow of the Engineer. Other ideal legendary equipment for grinding to level 20 are the Queen’s Cry of the Dungeon, Prolonging Lil K’s Bread Slicer of the Spire, the Rogue Imp of Alarm, and a green Chaotic Nightshade. Another set of recommendation is the Inspiring Cursed Wit, decently useful for its damage boost, and a Maced Wardu of Adaptation for its high capacity.

Optimize Build or Skill Tree

Taking advantage of your skills and builds will significantly help you inside the Chaos chamber. Unlocking skills that synergize with other skills is the way to go. However, you should also be careful of certain skills that generate worse synergy when used with others. The trick is to stay committed to a particular ability and know the best combinations for it.

Optimize Myth Rank

Myth Rank provides hero stat and elemental boosts. Focus on maxing out a particular area before you move on to the next. Ideally, by the time you reached a 40 Myth Rank, you should have already maxed out dex, wisdom, strength, and int.

Pro-tip: Prioritize hero stats first, then elemental damage second, and others third.

Get a Companion

Having a companion will significantly help you as you grind to level 20. They can revive you mid-fight and you can use them as a tank to aggressively kill enemies and bosses.

Avoid the Dragon Lord and Dragon Lord Portals

If your goal is to only get to Chaos level 20, then you don’t need to confront the Dragon Lord just yet. It will be easier and more beneficial for you since fighting this boss may prolong your time spent inside the Chaos chamber. Besides, choosing the hard mode will put you in an unfavorable situation, making it difficult for you to reach your desired level. Choose to do the easier side challenges instead.

Don’t Waste Your Crystals

As you progress your levels, you will need to spend more crystals. Choose your side objectives wisely as doing lousy quests and not finishing them will only waste your resources. Only advance encounters to the elite tier when you are sure that you can recoup the crystals that you spent.

Tips on Defeating Easier Bosses

Killing the easier bosses, particularly Zomboss and LeChance, will greatly help you reach level 20 quickly. Defeat them fast by just spamming bullets onto these bosses.

Tips on Defeating Moderate Bosses

  • Parasite – Having quality equipment and Buffmeister will easily kill this boss. If you don’t have those, just bring something that will strip its shield.
  • Banshee – Use either fire or a physical weapon to defeat this monster. Since it uses a repetitive pattern of using skills and attacking, familiarize yourself with the pattern and dodge whenever you can. Use the surrounding area to your advantage.
  • Dragon Lord – For Phase I, focus on reducing his health bar. For Phase II, aim at the spectral dragons he occasionally summons and the purple crystals he activates. For Phase III, eliminate his armor health bar first.

Tips on Eliminating Harder Bosses

  • Vorcanar – stay on the outer ring of the arena and spam him with bullets, targeting his head. At the end of the first phase, be sure to plant the bomb on his head. Using your companion as a decoy while you focus on the offense is another way to easily beat this boss.
  • Son of a Witch – Use the Masterwork Handbow and spam bullets, since it allows you to deal with his Spectral Aegis. For the third phase, spam him with ice weaponry until you defeat him.
  • Knightmare – Bring out your highest DPS equipment and shoot his head every time he charges at you. Every time he is in an invulnerable state, you just have to simply run away and wait until you can shoot him again. For Phase III, continue bombarding him with bullets even when he’s in shock form.
  • Salissa – Kill her summons as soon as possible. Having a companion to tank her attacks will make the boss fight a lot easier.
  • Dry’l – Use Buffmeister and use DPS equipment to destroy his shield. It will take a while but stay aggressive and you should be able to defeat him.

Spend Your Crystals Wisely

Don’t speed all your crystals. Instead, choose a particular item type and invest all crystals into it. This increases your ability to acquire legendary equipment.
