“Through the Cracks” is one of the more memorable side quests you can take on in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.

In this case, Sine from Cuanacht will inform you that some supplies from her legion’s warehouse are going missing. There are no traces at all, and people who’ve been put on watch for thieves also disappeared. It’s almost as if there’s something beyond a mere robbery going on.

If you want to complete the quest efficiently while also grabbing extra loot and rewards, this guide covers everything you should know.

You can start the quest by talking to Sine near Sine’s Warehouse in the Cuanacht region. She’s in the spot shown on the map above.

Ask her about any jobs to get the ball rolling. She’ll explain that supplies from the legion warehouse have been mysteriously disappearing. Keep talking to hear all the details.

Strangely, it seems even people and the traps set for the thieves go missing!

After the conversation, go to Sine’s Warehouse itself at midnight. It’s directly east of Sine’s stall location, so it’s not far off. If it’s not yet past midnight, use a bonfire to rest until between 00:00 and 01:00 or so.

Once you enter Sine’s Warehouse at midnight, turn to your right to find a black portal swirling on the floor. Approach it to be teleported.

What a Wyrd Place

After entering the new dimension, you’ll find yourself in a strange place. Be ready to deal with Wyrd Spirits and other such threats!

Walk forward when you’re ready to encounter Percy, whom Sine mentioned earlier.

He explains that he has been trapped inside the realm and that the missing supplies were being pulled into this place alongside him. From here, the area will branch into multiple paths.

There’s also an optional route that contains extra enemies and crafting materials, including Ethereal Cobwebs and Fae-related drops.

After going up the stairs, interact with the pedestal to your right to clear the writing wyrd roots and unblock the path. You may need to defeat the nearby Mistlings if they aggro onto you.

They can be rather annoying as they obscure your vision during the combat, so ranged attacks or quick burst damage are key here.

Encounter with Gaelric Tarian

Go past the blockage and continue forward while dealing with the enemies. Eventually, you will encounter an NPC named Gaelric Tarian, the former ruler of Cuanacht.

He will reveal that he became trapped in the Wyrdrealm after seeking unnatural longevity. No matter what dialogue choices you pick, it seems you’re forced to duel him to the death. Defeat him to continue!

The fight is fairly manageable as long as you keep your distance and avoid getting greedy with attacks. Melee players should avoid overcommitting after heavy swings, while magic users can kite him around the arena.

Once Gaelric Tarian is down, touch the amber egg-shaped portal that was behind him. It will teleport you and Percy back to Sine’s Warehouse.

He will also drop the Sunfire Shortsword and parts of his outfit.

At this point, all that’s left for you to do is to report to Sine at her stall. Talk to her and pick “I found out what was happening with the supplies” to give her all the details.

As a reward, you’ll receive the Mystic Ward Magic. It lacks a Heavy Cast, but its Light Cast surrounds you with a magical barrier that lasts 120 seconds and negates the next received damage. It will also deal Magical Damage to enemies within a 4m radius after that first instance of damage!

That’s all you need to know to complete the “Through the Cracks” side-quest in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. On the topic of side-quests, did you get the Mercy Amulet at the start of the game?
