As part of the Halloween seasonal event in Throne & Liberty, you can enter a time-limited Haunted Labyrinth dungeon and fight the Lord Embergourd boss, all for some fantastic rewards!

Managing to clear this dungeon won’t just give you cosmetics and other Halloween-themed items, though. It’s also a great way to get rare materials, including things like Trait Unlockstones and such. Plus, the dungeon itself can be quite fun to take on.

In this guide, we’ll help you through every single part of the Haunted Labyrinth dungeon so you can complete it with ease.

Haunted Labyrinth Dungeon Embergourd Boss Guide & All Rewards | Throne & Liberty

Haunted Labyrinth

Before we start, there are two prerequisites you should meet before taking on the Haunted Labyrinth Co-Op Dungeon and its Embergourd boss in Throne & Liberty. The first one is that your character needs to be at least Lv.50 to be able to enter.

The second pre-requisite is that you need to have at least 1 Candy Corn to be able to claim its rewards. You can get Candy Corn as a daily login bonus during the Halloween event or by purchasing it from the Haunted Harvest Peddler merchant. This merchant is wandering all over the world randomly, so you’ll need other players’ help to pinpoint his location.

Once you’re ready, queue up for the dungeon and we’ll give you a quick rundown of how to reach Lord Embergourd boss at the end!

Going Through the Haunted Labyrinth

Section 1 – Find the Key

For the first section of the Haunted Labyrinth, you’ll need to find a key. The key’s location is completely random each run, but it usually drops from the interactable Pumpkins in the area. However, some players also report that the key can also drop from the many Pumpkin-themed mobs in the dungeon. Either way, you’ll get a notification if any of your allies find the key before you do.

Once someone has found the key, rush to the locked gate in the eastern part of the area to open it.

Then, wait for your full party to get onto the Pumpkin Wagon and activate it to go to the next section.

Section 2 – Fuel Up the Wagon

As soon as the Pumpkin Wagon stops, look for some stairs in the northern part of the area. Approach them and grab the small Pumpkin at the bottom of the stairs. Now, you can’t attack while holding the Pumpkin, so try to stick close to allies. If another ally picked it up instead, protect them. Getting hit will make the player drop the Pumpkin!

Either way, the player holding the Pumpkin has 30 seconds to take the Pumpkin back to the Pumpkin Wagon. Deliver it to the Wagon within the time limit.

Delivering the first Pumpkin will open the gate at the top of the northern stairs. The room will close once all players go through the door, forcing them to look for another key. The key drops randomly from the mobs in the room, so you and your allies just have to take them out until you find it.

Once your party manages to grab the key and open the room again, you now need to work together to collect a total of 3 small Pumpkins. This works the same as before, just pick them up and deliver them to the Pumpkin Wagon within 30 seconds. If you are carrying a Pumpkin, stick close to allies. Alternatively, protect allies who are carrying Pumpkins.

When that’s all said and done, group up in the Pumpkin Wagon and activate it once again to reach the next section.

However, do be warned that flying Pumpkin-headed reapers will attack you as you fly on the Pumpkin Wagon. Block their attacks when you see them or you’ll instantly die!

Section 3 – Pumpkin Watch Captain Miniboss

This miniboss will spawn shortly after you land in the area with the Pumpkin Wagon. It is, frankly, a fairly simple boss except for one extremely tricky attack.

To avoid this tricky attack, look for a small orange glow on the ground every now and then. It looks like the one in the example image above. As soon as you see this, run away from the boss!

Shortly after the orange glow appears, the Pumpkin Watch Captain will summon large explosive pumpkins that will chase every player. Pay attention to their blast radius and focus entirely on avoiding them until they disappear. Also, try to avoid running into other players so that you don’t accidentally get hit by their explosive pumpkin or vice-versa. You will be captured by a Pumpkin Prison if you get hit by the explosion.

If any player gets captured by a Pumpkin Prison, they will be unable to move at all. After a while, the boss will attack them again, instantly killing them. However, any free players can attack and break the Pumpkin Prison before this happens. So, if you see any ally get captured, focus first on freeing them!

Once you defeat the Pumpkin Watch Captain, go up the stairs on the eastern side of the area. A large pumpkin will block your way first, but it will move away shortly and let you progress to the next section.

Section 4 – Rolling Pumpkins

As soon as you cross the doorway into this section, you will be turned into a pumpkin. Your goal now is to go through the hallway until you reach the western side, all while avoiding the many traps.

The large pumpkin that previously blocked your path will be rolling back and forth across the hallway. To avoid it, get inside the small gaps on the sides of the hallway and wait for it to pass. It’s a good idea to move from gap to gap. Don’t rush or you’ll get hit by the pumpkin, causing an instant death.

Additionally, you’ll also need to avoid the traps on the ground, which appear as orange glowing circles. Stepping on them will paralyze you for a few seconds, making it easy for the large pumpkin to roll over you. Thankfully, these traps don’t move or anything like that, so they’re easy to avoid if you’re careful.

It’s also worth noting, only 1 party member needs to reach the end of the hallway. The first player that reaches the end can deactivate the pumpkin and traps to help out the rest!

Now, there’s only one thing left for you to do to complete the Haunted Labyrinth in Throne & Liberty: defeat the Lord Embergourd boss!

Haunted Labyrinth Embergourd Boss Guide | Throne & Liberty

For this boss, there are four main mechanics you need to keep track of.

The first mechanic is the fire circle. It will first appear right around Lord Embergourd and detonate after a few seconds. Then, a second circle will appear further away from Lord Embergourd. Simply keep an eye on the ground and avoid these circles before they detonate.

The second mechanic is his shield, which he will summon periodically. At the same time, 3 Pumpkin Lanterns will appear around Lord Embergourd. To get rid of the shield right away, push the lanterns toward Lord Embergourd’s shield. If you fail to do this, don’t worry, the shield will automatically go down after a moment on its own.

Third up is the Pumpkin Wall attack. Periodically, Lord Embergourd will summon a wall of moving pumpkins. When this happens, stop attacking and focus on looking for the flashing pumpkin, as shown above. Walk into the flashing pumpkin to get trapped by it, which will protect you from Lord Embergourd’s follow-up AoE attack.

Lastly, Lord Embergourd will push the entire party to one side of the arena and turn them into bugs. At this point, the boss will periodically pull an energy wave across the ground towards him. When you see this happen, press the action key to lie immobile on the ground. You basically want to avoid letting Lord Embergourd see you while you move.

Carefully approach Lord Embergourd. You’ll turn back to your normal form when you’re close, letting you safely do damage to it!

As a last note, you can return to the boss arena by flying from the stairs if you die. It’s a very forgiving boss fight unless the whole party gets wiped at the same time.
