If you’re playing Skull and Bones you’ve got the heart of a pirate, so we’re sure you can’t resist the call of Legendary loot. What kind of pirate can resist the call of treasure and booty, right!?

Thankfully, there’s a way to get some Legendary-tier loot extremely early in the game, provided you’re willing to engage with one of the game’s PvP events. No risk, no reward!

In this short guide, we’ll tell you what the best way to get Legendary loot early is and how to do it.

Skull and Bones: How to Get Legendary Loot Early - Cutthroat Cargo Hunt

The best way to get Legendary loot from the get-go is to complete Cutthroat Cargo Hunt events, which become available pretty early on.

These events are PvP Contracts, and they can be quite challenging depending on the other players. Especially if you’re a solo player! It’s a tad easier if you’ve got some mates helping out, of course.

However, by the same token, sometimes you luck out and nobody else tries to enter the event. This basically allows you to claim the Legendary loot for free.

Cutthroat Cargo Hunts tasks you with collecting some cargo as treasure. The first player to reach the event spot can usually call dibs, so it’s a good idea to set sail for the event area before it starts.

A Cutthroat Cargo Hunt event marked on the map

You can find Cutthroat Cargo Hunt events on your map as red skull icons, so keep an eye out for them.

How to complete the Cutthroat Cargo Hunt event

An example of the goal outpost marked with a white skull

Once the event starts, collect the cargo from the water and then set sail for the outpost that gets marked with a white skull on your map.

If another player picks it up, you’ll have to wreck their ship to take the cargo for yourself.

On that note, make sure you’re ready to fend off hostile players once you pick up the cargo. Having a fast ship would be ideal to help you escape them!

An example of a treasure map from the event

Once you reach the marked outpost, check the treasure map you looted from the cargo. The map is randomized, but it always leads to a marked landmark at the outpost.

Found the X, found the loot!

Remember, X marks the spot! Decipher the map and reach the X to find a treasure chest. Loot the chest to get your Legendary loot.

You can repeat this whenever the Cutthroat Cargo Hunt events become available, and you’re basically always guaranteed to get some Legendary loot.

Considering it’s a PvP event, though, we expect competition to become quite fierce as more people start realizing just how good the rewards are. As such, we wish you all the best of luck, mateys.
