You’ll need to perform a Body Flip (or 6!) for the “Whoop It Up” Challenge in Skate 4. This is a very finicky trick, so it’s hard to pull off. Despite its inputs being relatively simple, it can be very unreliable if you don’t know how exactly it works. What’s more, landing properly after one of these Body Flips is no easy feat, either! Nonetheless, we’ll tell you everything you need to nail this trick.

How to Body Flip for the Whoop It Up Challenge | Skate 4

So, Body Flips. They are honestly one of the trickiest tricks to pull off in this game. To do them, you need to press either LT/RT (Xbox) or L2/R2 (PlayStation) first to do a grab trick while in the air. Then, while grabbing your board, push the left stick up or down. If you do it right, your skater will start rotating! Release the grab and position your feet toward the ground before landing so that you don’t fall.

What makes these so tricky to pull off is that they can feel a bit unreliable. That is because you actually need to release the left stick first after you jump. So, if you were pushing it to move forward, release it. Then do the grab and move the left stick again. If you don’t release the left stick after you’re in the air, your character won’t spin.

Now, note that this trick also works with any grab trick. Yes, even Christ Air would work here, if you had enough airtime! This also works for the sake of the “Whoop It Up” Challenge, which doesn’t specify any grab trick.

Speaking of that Challenge, note that it only requires you to do a total of 6 Body Flips. You don’t need to do them in sequence with the grinds or the total air time, and you have a very generous 5-minute timer for the challenge. So, you can just do them easily at the start by pressing up on the D-Pad to return to the challenge’s starting position.

That’s all you need to know to be able to pull off a Body Flip and complete the “Whoop It Up” Challenge in Skate 4! All that’s left is for you to practice this trick, because landing it right is definitely not an easy task. Still, we’re sure you can do it with a bit of practice.
