SCORN: Krang Boss Fight Guide

The final act of SCORN, which is Act 5, is where you’ll fight the boss’ final name which is the Krang. As the final boss of the game, the Krang isn’t someone you want to underestimate. Luckily, it’s not that hard to bring down either.

In this guide, I’ll show you a strategy that will help you beat Krang without that much effort.

Krang Boss Fight Guide in SCORN

Once you arrive at the boss room with two huge cages in the middle, you want to turn right to find an embryo pod. Take the pod and place it inside the automaton which you can find on the other side of the room.

After inserting the pod, the automaton will twitch for a few seconds. But since the pod is a failure, you’ll want to destroy it by shooting it using your rifle. First, use your rifle to break the glass and then shoot the embryo to kill it.

You’ll then want to take the corpse and place it inside the console where you inserted a blood container. Activate the console to crush the embryo and fill up the vial with blood. Take the vial and turn right then go straight to go back to the previous room where you first found the vial.

After a short while, take back the vial and go back to the boss room.

Preparing for the Fight

Before anything else, you’ll want to make sure you’re fully prepared to take on Krang. The boss might not be that hard, but it can still take you down if you’re not careful.

For this, you want to stock up on health from the terminals just behind the second Krang pod. Make sure to reload your rifle as well.

Once you’re ready, take the second embryo pod and place it on the automaton once again. This time, however, the automaton will start moving and will knock you down to the ground. This is also where the boss fight begins.

Second Phase of the Krang Boss

The first phase of the Krang boss can be rather explosive. It uses its grenades to deal an explosion in a small area. Your strategy for this phase is to run around the room and wait for the boss to use up all his round of grenades and start reloading.

Once the boss performs the reload animation, you’ll notice two purple sacs on its back. You want to shoot them with your rifle one by one. After shooting the first sac, the boss will get back up and start shooting his grenades once again.

Simply repeat the process until you get the chance to destroy its second sac. After popping both sacs, he will then go down. Interact with his grenade launcher to start phase two, prompting him to grab you and then throw you to the ground.

You want the Krang to get close to you and perform his melee attack. Once he performs the attack animation, his chest pod will also open. Make sure to shoot at the embryo pod to deal damage. This is what you’ll be doing for the entirety of the fight.

However, keep in mind that there will be a cooldown after shooting the embryo pod. Make sure to run around the room for around a minute or so before attempting to have the Krang expose its pod once again.

After taking down the Krang, you can now take its grenade launcher.

Final Phase of the Krang Boss

After defeating the boss, take its corpse and place it inside the console. Activate the console once again to crush the corpse to fill the vial with blood. Go back to the boss room, and halfway there, the grenade launcher will attach itself to your arm.

Simply continue forward and step on the switch right next to the locked gate on the right to open the shutter above. Shoot at the rails using your grenade launcher to open the gate. Take the final embryo pod and place it inside the automaton at the corner of the room for one final time.

But before you do that, you can also pick up ammo for your grenade launcher from the previous automaton. Once you’re ready, place the pod inside the automaton in the corner of the room to start the fight.

Just keep in mind that the grenade launcher is the only weapon you can use in this fight. You can refill its ammo by simply taking them from the back of the previous automaton. This one isn’t that hard either as it’s basically similar to the previous fight.

However, instead of the pods, you will have to shoot at the back cavity of the robot when it starts reloading. This will expose its back cavity, allowing you to fire a grenade right into it.

Once the boss is defeated, take the corpse for one final time and place it on the console to crush it and fill up the vial.
