The latest update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds has a quest where a Scarecrow takes you on a scavenger hunt for the Farmers’ Hat.

The Farmers’ Hat itself is actually a surprisingly solid piece of gear, but it doesn’t do anything for farming. Instead, it’s equipment meant for Mages that has solid defenses and ranged attack buffs. Pretty odd!

Either way, I’ll quickly tell you how to complete this quest and claim the Farmers’ Hat.

Starting the Quest

To start this quest, first make sure that you have a Shovel in your inventory. Then, head to the spot marked above in the Fractured Lands. You’ll find a Scarecrow there, close to the western waterfall.

Interact with the Scarecrow to get the Scarecrow’s Key and officially start the quest. At the same time, you can read the nearby Scarecrow’s Scribbles note for some clues, but it’s not necessary.

Next, you just need to dig up the dirt mound that the Scarecrow is pointing to. Doing so will reveal a Treasure Map, which tells you where the next part of the treasure hunt awaits!

Of course, I won’t leave you hanging! Let’s go over where exactly you need to go for every part of this quest next.

Following the Scarecrow’s Trail

The first treasure map shows you a location within the Stormtouched Highlands. In the northernmost part of the path going west, look for a dirt mound close to an arch.

To be fair, this dirt mound can be pretty hard to spot, as it blends in quite easily. Nonetheless, you should be able to spot the disturbed dirt if you look closely enough. Dig it for another map.

Next up, you need to make it to the center of the southern half of Bloodblight Swamp. Make sure to bring Antipoison Potions here! The dirt mound is on the path, next to a square of flooring.

For the final location, go to the central cliff overlooking the river in the middle of the Fractured Plains. Dig on the dirt mound behind the bench with the hay to reveal a chest.

This was the last location you had to check out, so this chest will contain the Farmers’ Hat! There also some other goodies, of course, so don’t forget to pick those up.

Nonetheless, that’s all you need to do to finish the Scarecrow quest for the Farmers’ Hat in RuneScape: Dragonwilds! For help with more of the new quests, check out our guide on the “Room with a Garou” quest!
