13 articlesThe RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1-year anniversary update finally added a proper way to save your precious ammunition. The “Animal Magnetism” quest, available in the Fractured Plains, rewards you with the recipe for Ava’s Accumulator, a ranged cape slot item that automatically collects your fired arrows. No more watching your arrows disappear into the earth after every shot.
This is a short, intermediate quest that is a must-do for any ranged build. You won’t need to fight any bosses, but you will need to look for a couple of things. I will take you through the entire walkthrough so you can get this item as quickly as possible.
How to Complete the Animal Magnetism Quest
Before you start the quest, I recommend bringing 5 Law Runes and 1 Iron Bar with you. You will need them to craft one of the required items later on, and having them on hand will save you a trip. Now, to start the quest, head to the far left area of the Fractured Plains. I have marked the exact spot on the map below.
Here you will find a goblin called Manktongue. Go ahead and talk to him. After that conversation, interact with the bottle sitting on the table to the left of him. Once you have done that, talk to the goblin again and that will officially start the quest. He will then ask you to bring him three specific items: one Undead Chicken, one Undead Twig Bundle, and one Magnetized Iron Bar.

To get the Undead Chicken, head to the location I have marked on the map below. It is located in the Stormtouched Highlands. Once you get there, look around and you will find an Undead Chicken stuck in some iron nodes sticking out of the wall. Just walk up to it, interact with it, and you will automatically collect it.
Undead Twig Bundle
Now for the second item, you will be heading into the Bloodblight Swamp. This area is nasty, and standing in the swamp water will poison you pretty quickly. So before you go, make sure you craft a couple of Antipoison Potions to protect yourself.
Once you have those potions ready, head to the location I have marked on the map below. When you arrive, look for a large red tree standing out from the rest of the swamp. Interact with that tree, and you will collect the Undead Twig Bundle.
Magnetized Iron Bar
Now for the final item, bring the 5 Law Runes and 1 Iron Bar to a goblin named Pulpknuckle. He is located on the second floor, close to where you found Manktongue. Hand over the runes and the iron bar, and he will give you the Magnetized Iron Bar in return.
Turning the Quest In
Now that you have collected all three items, simply head back to Manktongue and talk to him. Once the conversation finishes, the quest will be marked as completed. You will receive the Ava’s Accumulator as your reward, along with the recipe to craft it yourself whenever you need a new one.
That’s It
And that is the whole quest done. The Ava’s Accumulator sounds like a game changer on paper, but honestly it is just okay. It saves you some arrows here and there, nothing crazy. Still, it is a free upgrade for your ranged slot and the quest is easy enough, so you might as well grab it!
