A plethora of moves, countermoves, special attacks, and “Special Moves” await you in Rumbleverse – but how can you best utilize them against your opponents?
Rumbleverse is a bit different in the sense that it isn’t about the weapons or rank of your weapons, but all about your superkicks, duplexes, dives, and clotheslines.
If you love wrestling and the battle royale format of online competitive games like Fortnite, Rumbleverse is a game you’ve likely had on your radar for some time. As a newer game, people are still learning the ropes, so you might be wondering what the best combo moves are and how to get on top with the best moves.
How to Win More in Rumbleverse: Combo Guide
As Rumbleverse plays out more like a brawler or fighting game, there is an attack ‘priority’ system that is in place – meaning you need to know how the attack hierarchy is formulated if you’re going to be able to succeed over your opponents.
The highest priority to lowest is as follows: Super, Power, Weapon, Special Strike, Basic Strike, Special Vicious, Basic Vicious.
For example: “Vicious” attacks are throws and grapples, which get beaten by “Strikes.” Being low on the priority list ranking does not mean that they are a ‘weak’ attack – “Vicious” attacks can be used against those that are blocking, as blocking only protects against “Strikes” and not “Vicious” attacks.
When successfully hit, the attacks and combos in Rumbleverse will cause the opponent to be in a knockdown state, meaning you cannot deal anymore damage to them until they can get back up and stand on their two feet again. However, they can be hit by elbow-drops, which are performed by following up with a strike in mid-air as a follow-up.
Another good combo strategy is to knock enemies into walls nearby – once they’ve been knocked into the wall and are about to fall to the ground, you can land a follow-up strike or special attack to deal even more damage. Once they hit the ground, you have less options, but a solid wall splat can easily render the enemy disabled from pounding you – especially with a special attack launching an enemy. If you use tackle in particular, you’ll be pushed forward along with the enemy, allowing you to do a quick multiple strike combo before they fall back down.
Wall splat -> Irish Whip -> Dash Grab into an Air Grab (reverse suplex)
Charging a normal dash grab into a wall, a normal vicious attack and then a further grab move into the wall. Once they’re down, elbow drop them before they can get back up.
Another tip to note is that if a player is getting up with a comeback from their super mode revive, is to use the super mode during the animation – you can then easily do a grab move or attack the opponent despite them being in their super mode revive.
