Remnant 2: How To Get Gossamer Heart Relic | The Dark Horizon DLC

In Remnant 2’s Dark Horizon DLC, getting the Gossamer Heart Relic involves some careful exploration. You’ll need to find the Athenaeum Wek and Detritus Foundry dungeons on your map, but since the maps are random, it might take a few tries.

My guide will help you find the key item, the Crop Sample, and show you where to plant it to get the Gossamer Heart. Along the way, you’ll also discover other uses for the Crop Sample, like summoning a boss or making a helpful potion in Ward 13. Here’s a simple walkthrough to help you get started!

How To Get Gossamer Heart Relic | The Dark Horizon DLC

To get the Gossamer Heart Relic in Remnant 2’s Dark Horizon DLC, follow these steps:

1. Find Athenaeum Wek & Detritus Foundry:
   First, you need the dungeons Athenaeum Wek and Detritus Foundry to appear on your map. Since maps are random, keep resetting until you find these locations. Also, you’ll have to use a glider and go towards a specific portal to reach Aethenaeum Wek (Directions are provided below).
2. Locate the Crop Sample:
   After arriving at Athenaeum Wek, head to the right side of the map. Look for a hole on the right side of a bridge pillar and enter it. Keep following the path until you find the Crop Sample on the ground.
3. Plant the Crop Sample:
   Backtrack and use the nearby elevator. Once you reach an open area, head to the right and plant the Crop Sample at the altar. Wait a day (in-game), and the Gossamer Heart Relic will appear for you to pick up.

By following these steps, you’ll unlock the Gossamer Heart Relic — But if you need more guidance, proceed below to the detailed section of my guide where I’ll provide images as well as directions.

Reaching Athenaeum Wek (Detritus Foundry)

First, you’ll need to have the Athenaeum Wek & Detritus Foundry dungeon on your maps. Remember, the maps are randomized, so just keep on resetting until you get the said maps — not doing so will make you miss out on a crucial material for the Gossamer Heart.

You can start on any map as long as you get the Athenaeum Wek — For this guide, start on the Wayland Conservatory.

Upon arriving, proceed to your left as indicated below. Just keep left and follow the path.

Once you reach a ramp as shown in the image below, make your way towards the right side of the ramp.

You’ll eventually reach the Glider — Use your D.H. Transit Glyph to enable its use. Then, proceed to the next step.

As shown in the image below, go straight ahead until you reach the pillar, where you’ll see an elevator. Use the elevator to proceed towards the portal and reach Athenaeum Wek (Detritus Foundry).

Here’s The Location of the Crop Sample (Crop Lab)

After arriving at Athenaeum Wek (Detritus Foundry), make your way towards the right side of the map.

Keep going straight ahead until you see a hole on the right side of the bridge, on a pillar. Go inside the said entrance.

Just keep following the path and you’ll end up in the location shown in the image below. Wrap around the enclosure and you’ll find the entrance.

Once you find the entrance, keep heading straight and you’ll see the Crop Sample on the ground. Pick it up as you should, and you can then proceed to the next step.

Planting The Crop Sample to Get Gossamer Heart

Backtrack a bit and you can find an elevator in the area near the enclosure, as shown in the image below. Use the elevator to proceed to the next step.

You’ll then arrive at an open space. Make your way towards the right side of the area and plant the Crop Sample on the ground in front of the altar. After a day (in the game — I’m not sure if restarting the game works), you can then pick up the Gossamer Heart on the ground.

The Gossamer Heart is a relic that extends your invulnerability frames during evasion, making it easier to dodge enemy attacks and avoid damage!

Other Things You Can Do with the Crop Sample

So, what happens if you decide to plant the seed on the left side of the plot area? Well, the Inverted Shambler boss spawns on the red side, dropping a mutator called Repercussion. Additionally, giving the Crop Sample to the chef in Ward 13 (Duane) would result in a concoction (Numbing Agent) that increases the number of hits you can take before losing gray health—which is really helpful for survival.

Also, there’s a Root sapling in one corner of the garden in Ward 13. You can use a Crop Sample on the sapling. Placing both the Crop Sample and Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow into the root growth in Ward 13’s garden (which only appears after obtaining the Profane Heart) triggers a brief conversation, rewarding you with the Cessation Bulbel!
