Remnant 2: How to Get Cessation Bulbel Secret Amulet | The Dark Horizon DLC
Spoiler alert: You are going to need DLCs 1 & 2 for this as well!

As the latest DLC for the game, Remnant 2 – The Dark Horizon adds all sorts of new items, enemies, and even dungeons. Needless to say, that means a whole lot of searching to find those shiny new accessories and gear, and in this guide, we will be showing you how to get the Cessation Bulbel amulet that has a pretty complicated path to acquire.
How to Get Cessation Bulbel Secret Amulet | The Dark Horizon DLC
Just to warn you in advance, you are going to be doing quite a bit of work that involves content from the previous DLCs to get this item. To start off, you will need a Crop Sample and Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow. So, let us go through this step-by-step:
Step #1 – Getting the Crop Sample
One of the initial requirements is the Crop Sample key item. This can be found in the Detritus Foundry dungeon, and if it doesn’t show up for you, then you might need to run it again. It can appear in a certain type of room and will have an orange highlight over it.
The crop itself has a very distinct blue bulb and it should be pretty hard to miss despite being a small item on the ground. Upon acquiring this, you can offer it to the root at Ward 13, but for a smoother process, we will leave that for last.
Step #2 – Getting Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow (Requires The Awakened King DLC)
Next, you will have to go meet with the One True King. Upon initiating the dialogue with this monstrous boss, pick the following options:
- #1 – “I’m a loyal servant, Your Majesty.”
- #2 – “What is my task, Majesty?”
- #3 – “I’ll see what I can do.”
Upon selecting the dialogue options listed above, you will be given the task to kill Nimue. We are not going to be doing that, but you want to be on the One True King’s good side for now.
Next, head over to the Forlorn Coast and search for Nimue’s hiding place. Once you do, initiate dialogue with her and go through the options until you get the choice to Spare Nimue. Hope you’re ready for a boss fight after this…
Returning to the One True King
After sealing the deal with Nimue, you must now return to the One True King and break the news of your betrayal to him. This will start a boss fight, and since I have no idea what your setup is like, I’ll just give you a general tip.
The boss itself is relatively easy, since all of his attacks are heavily telegraphed. The only issue you might face is the fact that the One True King is a giant boss, so the camera will be your real enemy here.
Just pay close attention to his attack animations and watch out for the occasional arena-wide slam attacks in which he hits the ground directly below him with his weapon.
Upon defeating him, as long as you followed the previous steps, you should receive the Nimue’s Blood-Marred Vow quest item as a drop. With that item in your possession, you now have everything you need for the item.
The Root in Ward 13
Just in case it doesn’t work, make sure that you meet the following conditions as well:
- Be either a Summoner or Invader archetype
- Put on a full set of Invader or Summoner armor
- Equip the Profane Soul Stone
We are not entirely sure if these are actually required, but a lot of other people have noted that some or all of them are needed to proceed.
Cessation Bulbel – What Does it Do?
The Cessation Bulbel is an amulet that has an effect wherein it will consume all of your shield whenever you activate a mod. Upon doing so, you will receive a 4% bonus damage buff for every 20 shield consumed.
This can stack up to ten times and lasts for a few seconds. Because of how it works, you will need to have a lot of shield in order to have a noticeable damage increase, otherwise, it might be a bit pointless to have.
If you are looking for an amulet that relies on perfect dodges instead, consider checking out our guide on how to get the Insipid Talon amulet in Remnant 2 for an alternative that was also added in the latest DLC. Depending on your build and play style, that might be a much better fit for you!
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
