Breach got a significant overhaul in Path of Exile 2 patch 0.5 and one of the more exciting discoveries on launch day was the six new Breach Ring base types that came with it.
These are not your standard ring bases and each one comes with its own implicit stats that make them genuinely worth hunting down depending on your build. In this guide I will go over all six new Breach Ring base types and their stats, and cover how to actually get them.
Six New Base Ring Types
Here is a quick breakdown of all six new Breach Ring base types and what each one brings to the table:
- Biostatic Ring
- +1% to all Maximum Resistances. A solid defensive base that helps with resistance capping across the board without needing to sacrifice offensive affixes on other gear slots.
- Vitalic Ring
- 6% increased Maximum Life. A straightforward but powerful implicit for Life based builds looking to push their health pool higher.
- Mnemonic Ring
- 5% increased Maximum Mana. The go-to base for builds that rely heavily on Mana as their primary resource or defensive layer.
- Kinetic Ring
- Adds 8 to 12 Physical Damage to Attacks. A strong offensive base for Attack builds that want to squeeze more flat damage into their setup without relying on weapon rolls alone.
- Oneiric Ring
- 17% increased Chaos Damage. A very appealing base for Chaos focused builds and potentially one of the most sought after of the six depending on how the meta develops.
- Grasping Ring
- This Item gains bonuses from socketed Items as though it was Gloves. Easily the most unique of the six. It essentially turns a ring slot into a pseudo glove slot which opens up some genuinely interesting build interactions worth experimenting with.
How to Get Them
The six new Breach Ring bases are exclusive to the Genesis Tree crafting system introduced with patch 0.5. The Genesis Tree is a dedicated crafting hub found in Ailith’s Monastery on the Atlas.
It works by consuming two resources. Wombgifts, which are tradeable items that drop from Breach encounters and Bosses, and Hiveblood which is a non-tradeable resource you earn by actively running Breach content.
To craft a Ring, you need to slot a Signet Wombgift into the Ring branch of the tree. And then feed it Hiveblood to produce the item. A typical craft costs around 1700 to 1800 Hiveblood per use. So, consistent Breach farming is required to keep the crafting loop going.
What makes the Genesis Tree particularly powerful is the level of control it gives you over the outcome. You can allocate your 15 available points across the tree’s branches to influence the base type, modifier weighting, minimum mod tier, attributes and resistances of the item you are crafting.
Respeccing your points is completely free at any time. This means you can adjust your tree setup for every individual craft without any cost. For the new Breach Ring bases specifically, allocate your points toward the Ring branch and weight toward the base type you want. This gives you a meaningful degree of control over which of the six rings you are most likely to produce.

That’s It
That covers all six new Breach Ring bases in PoE 2 patch 0.5. The Genesis Tree is easily one of the best crafting systems the game has seen so far and with the right Breach farming setup, these rings are absolutely worth going after this league.
