With the recent release of Path of Exile2’s early access test, players are discovering all of the new features introduced in this highly-anticipated sequel. Among these additions is the WASD control scheme, which is something most people probably did not expect to be a thing in an ARPG like this. In this guide, we will be showing you how to use it!
How to Change to WASD Movement
In order to activate WASD movement, all you need to do is open the options menu. By default, the hotkey should be the “O”button. There, you should go to the Input category and then just click on “Toggle Keyboard Input Method”.
By doing this, the “Input Method” option above should switch from “Mouse & Keyboard” to simply “WASD”. You should also notice all of the keybinds below change to the appropriate ones for this control scheme.
After this, just click on the Save button at the lower left corner and you should be good to go! You can experiment with the control scheme before you even close the options menu, and that should help you gauge whether you actually want to use it or not.
One thing to note is that you cannot change it through the “Input Method” option without logging back out into the character select screen. Don’t ask us why that is the case when you can just use the button below to achieve the same thing, cause we do not know either.
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
