Season 7 is right around the corner for New World Aeternum, so it’s a good idea to start doing some prep work while you can.

It’s important to start gathering materials that are bound to be useful, for example, or preparing for some of the new content we know about. It’s all about being ready to enjoy the new season without having to grind at the last minute, right?

In this guide, we’ll give you tips to help you prep for Season 7 of New World Aeternum.

Season 7 Prep Guide for New World Aeternum

Gather Artifact Materials

One of the first things to prep for before Season 7 starts in New World Aeternum is the Artifact Materials. Based on what the developers have announced so far, the season is introducing 8 new Artifacts. It also seems that 7 out of 8 of the Artifacts will be weapons!

As such, you should start gathering as many Weapon Matrices as possible. They will be required to fully upgrade the new weapon Artifacts, so demand for them is very likely going to soar. Crafting a good few of them should be profitable. Plus, you could use them yourself if you like any of the new Artifacts!

It’s also a good idea to get a good amount of Gypsum Orbs, as they’re also required for crafting.

Also, speaking of crafting, you should level up your crafting as much as possible. The developers have mentioned that they’re working on improving the game’s Crafting system. It’s still unclear if this will actually happen during Season 7, but it’s still a good idea to level up Crafting as much as possible so you can make good use of it when the overhaul drops!

Participate in the Winter Convergence Festival

The Winter Convergence Festival started on December 10th and is expected to last until at least January 2025. That said, there’s no set end date just yet. Nonetheless, you should make sure to take part in it while you can!

Speak with the Winter Wanderer yeti in the Winter Villages to get quests. Complete the quests to earn Winter Tokens, which you can then trade in for an assortment of useful items and materials.

We especially recommend obtaining as many Chromatic Seals as possible from the event. You can get 1 every 3 days for 10 Winter Tokens each. Chromatic Seals are one of the most important crafting materials for high-end gear, so you can’t have enough of them.

Do the Weekly Hive of Gorgons Raid

One of the planned changes for Season 7 is to improve the rewards you get from Mutated Expeditions, known as M3s. So, to prepare to deal with that challenging content, you should make sure to complete the Hive of Gorgons raid every week.

The raid gives fantastic rewards and can help you power your character up before tackling the upgraded M3s next season!

Hoard Materials for Combat Trophies

Last but not least, you should make sure to save up as many materials as possible for Combat Trophies. You can use the Combat Trophies to boost your damage output against certain enemy types. This will be particularly helpful when dealing with the updated M3s.

Which materials you need will depend on the Combat Trophy you want to use, though. However, just remember that using higher-quality materials will result in much stronger versions of the Combat Trophy!

We hope this guide helped you start the prep work for the upcoming Season 7 in New World Aeternum. There’s still a lot up in the air about what Season 7 will actually add or change, but these basic tips should help you nonetheless.
