As a game that’s set in a desert, it’s not surprising that water is a vital resource in My Time at Sandrock. However, you won’t be using it for drinking purposes. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about any Thirst meter in the game, at least in the Early Access version. Instead, you’ll need water to keep your crafting stations up and running.

Specifically, water is required to cool them off, and without proper cooling, you won’t be able to use your crafting stations at all. If you’re struggling to get water, then this guide is for you.

How to Get Water in My Time at Sandrock

You start the game with just a tiny amount of water which is enough to last for a day or two. However, as you start adding more machines and crafting stations, your water supply will quickly deplete. To keep them running at all times, you’ll need to gather TONS of water.

There are three different options to do so.

First is by crafting it at your Worktable using Dew. You can obtain dew randomly while you’re gathering Stone, Wood, and Plants. Alternatively, you can also obtain it passively by using a Dew Collector. It’s a good idea to craft at least two Dew Collectors. This way, you’ll have a steady supply of Dew which you can then use to craft Water.

The next option is to receive it as a reward for completing certain Missions. The amount of Water you can get this way is pretty limited, but it’s still more than enough to keep you going.

The last is by buying it from the Water World. You can find this location west of the oasis. The caveat is that you can only get up to 25 Water per day using 450 Gols. If you want more, you’ll have to wait another day for the supply to replenish.
