Lords of the Fallen 2 is always receiving new updates, such as the new Trial of the Three Spirits quests and the Radiant Armor Set.
The Radiant Armor set, also known as Illuminator Aubrey’s armor set, can only be obtained by completing an arduous quest.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get this extremely cool new armor set!
How to Get The Radiant Armor Set | Illuminator Aubrey’s Armor
There are a few prerequisites to meet before you start hunting down the Radiant Armor set. The first two are easy and can be done from within the Skyrest Bridge hub.
In Skyrest Bridge, purchase the Radiant Weapon spell from Exacter Dunmire. Then, get the Orian Vow of Protection gesture by interacting with the Shrine of Orius, next to Nathaniel.
With that done, you have to make your way to the very bottom of the Tower of Penance, to Tancred’s boss arena.
If you’ve already killed him, you will have Tancred’s Key in your possession. If you haven’t, you’ll need to kill him first. Either way, you need to make your way to his arena.
Now, with Tancred dead and you in his arena, face his shrine and look to your right. You should spot a jail cell.
Open the cell using Tancred’s Key and head inside, then grab the Flickering Flail from within. This officially starts the real quest to get the Radian Armor!
You’ll now need to find 6 different shrines, all of which will task you with “illuminating” certain enemies to end their suffering.
What this means is, kill them with your new Flickering Flail while it’s buffed with Radiant Weapon. Kills will only count when using the flail and while Radiant Weapon is active!
Now, let’s go over where to find all 6 statues and meet their requisites.
How to Use the Radiance Statues
The first statue you should seek is on the path leading to Tancred’s boss arena. Just backtrack up the path you took to reach the arena and you should find it!
It’s a large statue of a bearded man, surrounded by a massive number of candles. Use the Orian Vow of Protection gesture in front of it to receive your task.
In this case, you just need to “illuminate” 5 Carrion Knights. Remember, “illuminate” here means killing them with the Flickering Flail buffed by Radiant Weapon!
For the record, Carrion Knights are the tall knight enemies who roam around the Tower of Penance.
Once you’ve killed them, return to the statue and you’ll see a message saying “In Radiance, they found eternal rest”. This is your confirmation that you’re done with this statue’s request!
Now, you’ll pretty much need to repeat this same process for all 6 statues. You already have one down, so let’s go over the locations of the remaining 5 statues!
Finding the Remaining Statues
Manse of the Hallowed Brothers – A large hooded statue where you get Abbot Vernoff’s Key. You should have already gone through this area before entering the Tower of Penance.
You’ll need to illuminate 10 Crimson Rectors, which are the tall knights with cone-shaped helmets and red capes.
There’s one in the same room as the statue, which you can farm by using a Temporary Vestige.
Abiding Defender’s Arena – Close to the previous statue, start from the Abiding Defender’s boss arena. In a large drainage area with some praying enemies.
To reach it, go up the slope in the courtyard with the tree close to the boss arena. Then, go to your right following the arrow on the image above.
You’ll need to illuminate 10 Holy Bulwarks, which are the bulky crusader enemies with large hammers.
Lucky for you, there’s one outside of the room close to a Flower Bed you can use for a Temporary Vestige!
Vestige of Blind Agatha – On a wooden platform at the end of the narrow path that requires the Pilgrim’s Perch Key.
You’ll need to illuminate 10 Ardent Penitents for this one. There is one to the left of the Vestige of Blind Agatha, so it’s very easy to farm.
Only Two More To Go!
Vestige of Chabui & Scourged Sister Arena – Inside of the boss arena for Scourged Sister Delyth, easily reachable from the Vestige of Chabui.
You’ll need to illuminate 15 Avowed, which are the standard hammer-wielding enemies all over the game. There are two next to the Vestige of Chabui for easy farming!
Pilgrim’s Perch, Belled Rise – You can find this final shrine at the Belled Rise, at the top of the Pilgrim’s Perch area. You’ll find a shrine with a dead Pureblade Knight sitting on a throne.
This last shrine tasks you with illuminating 10 Pureblades, which are tall crusader knights that wield shields and hammers.
You can farm them in various locations throughout the game, but the easiest locations are the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters, the Path of Devotion, and the Manse of Hallowed Brothers.
Claiming Your Reward
Now that you’ve completed the requests for all shrines and brought Radiance to your enemies, it’s time to finally claim your Radiant Armor set.
To start, go back to the Abiding Defender boss arena at the Manse of Hallowed Brothers. In the same courtyard with the tree as before, go up the slope but keep going forward instead of turning.
Go into the circular building and follow the only path until you exit on the other side of the building.
As soon as you go out of the building, turn to your right and pull out your Umbral Lamp to clear a path.
Follow the path down until you reach a huge hole in the wall, next to where you find the Stigma of Byron.
Use your Umbral Lamp one last time to go through the cell door and you’ll enter a large arena with an Abess and two Abiding Defenders. Steel yourself and take them all out!
Once your enemies are slain, check Illuminator Aubrey’s shrine in the arena to find the Radiant Armor set, also known as Illuminator Aubrey’s armor set.
It was quite a long quest, but this cool armor was worth it!
