If you’ve stumbled upon some seeds early on in LEGO Fortnite, you might be wondering how in the heck you can make good use of them and properly establish your village.

While there might be more advanced methods later in the game, this is a simple way to kickstart your food production using the seeds you’ve found.

How To Plant Seeds (Early Game)

First, locate some soil and craft a spade using the recipe you’ll acquire. I found mine in a loot box, so keep an eye out.

As for more seeds, you can find them by picking from bushes, as well as digging & harvesting plants.

Once you have the spade, dig up some soil to unlock the garden plot. From there, you simply interact with the plot, drag the seeds into “its inventory/storage” and wait for them to grow.

Seeds in the game grow automatically, eliminating the need for players to worry about watering them.

LEGO Fortnite Garden Plot to plant seeds

The productivity of a garden plot is directly tied to the number of seeds deposited – the more seeds, the longer the plot will produce crops.

Once a player harvests a plant, it dies, but a new one begins to grow if there’s at least one seed left in the garden plot.

After all seeds are used up, no new plants will grow, but the garden plot remains available for other plant varieties.
