The “Won! Golem’s Manastone” side quest in Throne & Liberty requires you to win an auction for the eponymous Golem Manastone.
However, the auction has some… extremely unique rules. For one, the auctioneer doesn’t actually name the items he’s auctioning. He simply describes them, trying to be as vague as possible. On top of that, there’s a limit on how many total bids can be done per item!
Thankfully, you have us here to tell you exactly what to do to win the auction and claim the Golem Manastone. Read on and we’ll tell you how to complete this tricky objective.
How To Win The Golem Manastone Auction | Throne & Liberty Quest Guide
Trying to win the Golem Manastone in the auction in Throne & Liberty is, for the most part, a matter of patience. The most important part is to wait until the auctioneer actually offers the Golem Manastone to begin with. To make matters worse, he won’t simply state its name either. You’ll need to watch out for the auctioneer saying these phrases instead:
“This, my friends, is a precious item. It’s an enormous concentrate of magic.”
“With it, you can craft a weapon beyond your imagination.”
As soon as you see these messages, you need to try to be 5th bidder to automatically win the auction. Be patient and let the NPC bidders bid. Pay attention to how many times they bid in total and only bid once you’re certain that you’ll get the 5th bid.
The auctioneer will mention that the bidding is at forty after the 4th bid. Make your bid the exact moment this happens and you’ll automatically win the auction, no questions asked! Do keep in mind, the NPCs are pretty slow to bid. Nonetheless, you still want to be quick to get the 5th bid guaranteed.
Once you win the auction, just talk to the Bid Winner Guide NPC to collect what you won. He’s roaming around the auction table, just talk to him to claim the Golem Manastone!
That’s all you need to know to win the Golem Manastone at the auction in Throne & Liberty. All that’s left for you to do is to return to the Golem Crafter near the Abandoned Stomenason Town. Give him the Manastone to complete the “Won! Golem’s Manastone” quest.
