The Enlightment Tower is one of the most challenging dungeons in Hero’s Adventure: Road to Passion, thanks mostly to Tong Daoufu.

Tong Daoufu sits at the top of the tower awaiting a worthy challenger. And boy, do you need to be worthy to challenge this boss!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to conquer the Enlightenment Tower by taking down Tong Daoufu.

How To Defeat Tong Daoufu At The Enlightenment Tower

How To Win in Enlightenment Tower (Tong Daoufu) in Hero's Adventure: Road to Passion

Tong Daoufu is insanely powerful, so you should put off fighting him for as long as you can. What’s more, you can’t even bring your party members to help out for most of the fight, so you have to do it solo.

That said, you do get to bring in your party at the very end of the fight!

So, with everything stacked against your poor hero, you’ll want to focus on improving your stats and equipment as much as possible. Ideally, try focusing on defense and damage reduction.

Fighting Tong Daoufu

Constitution is your best stat here, as it will increase your defense and HP. Basically, you just want to become tanky enough to be able to survive Tong Daoufu’s attacks.

As long as you can survive his attacks, you can slowly whittle away at his health until you win.

Also, make sure to bring Medicine items to heal, and it would be even better if your protagonist has passive ways to recover health in combat.

Round 3

Healing is pretty much mandatory – as you’ll need to survive three different rounds against Tong Daoufu!

Lastly, it’s ill-advised to even try the fight unless you already have at least 1000 max HP. If you don’t, you’re very likely to just get instakilled by his first attack.

Now, let’s look at some ways to bolster your defenses and prepare for this fight!

Increasing Stats & Damage Reduction

Constitution stat

Remember that you can get free 5 boosts to random stats by consuming the Heaven Pills from the Heaven tournament in Daliang City.

Completing the tournament will also give you the extremely powerful Immovable Mountain inner armor. It has extremely high defense and also comes with a 45% damage reduction!

Reflected damage

However, you can only enter the tournament while you’re part of the Old Man sect, so it’s not available on every single playthrough…

Also, complete Miao Caidie’s poison testing at the Jiuli Tribe if you can. This will give you a total of 20 boosts to random stats.

Additionally, you can save before you get the Heaven Pills or do Miao Caidie’s poison testing, then reload your save if you got a stat that you isn’t particularly useful.

Mountain passives

You’ll also want to get Passives that are best suited for defense, such as the Mountain’s “Resilient” and “Counteract” passives. These will reduce the damage you take and also allow you to parry for counterattacks.

The Forest’s “Eye for an Eye” passive can also be amazing when dealing with Tong Daoufu, as you’ll have a chance to reflect back some of the insane damage he deals.

Lastly, it’s still a good idea to boost your Strength and increase your damage too. Thankfully, it’s a lot easier to boost STR than CON, you just need to gather items as much as possible.

Forest passives (also known as Wood)

Ideally, upgrade your Homestead until you have access to the Legendary Herbs gathering spot, as it will be the fastest way to increase Strength.

All in all, though, you’re in for a lot of grinding if you’re planning to beat this monstrous boss.

If all else fails, always remember that you can finish the game to unlock new traits that make subsequent playthroughs much easier!
