How to Use Small Soul Core for Ancient Treasures in Path of Exile 2
If you’re already here, wondering how to use the Small Soul Core, we assume you’ve already found at least one. But, just in case, let us go over the basics!
You can find the Small Soul Cores in The Cuachic Vault, one of the later zones in the Interlude after Act 4. Unlike before where they mainly drop randomly from enemies, you can now find them randomly lying on the ground throughout the area.

Moreover, you will hear the loot drop sound once you’re near one of them, so looking for one should now be easier. As mentioned, these items are tied to the Ancient Treasures point of interest quest in The Cuachic Vault.
Once you’ve managed to grab at least one of these items, you’ll need to look for a locked chamber with a Stone Altar. Sadly, these chambers seem to have random, varying locations. That’s how it usually is with Path of Exile 2, after all! Nonetheless, they seem to mainly spawn in the western and northwestern parts of the zone.
Either way, you’ll need to open your inventory and use the Small Soul Core on the Stone Pillar. Doing so will unlock the locked chamber, letting you pass! Inside, you’ll find a bunch of vaults that you can open to get loads of loot.
It’s like a loot party, and it’s all yours! There should be at least 2 of these chambers. Opening and looting all of them will complete the Ancient Treasures POI.
