While exploring the Forest of Blessings in Genshin Impact’s latest update, you might run into a tightly shut door that doesn’t open whatever you do. This specific door leads into the Cave of Eerie Murmurs, a location you need to go to for a specific quest.

So how do you open this tightly shut door?

How to Unlock Tightly Shut Door

The tightly shut door can be unlocked through “The Answer of the Lotus Leaves and the Forest” quest. This quest will lead you towards the door and opening it is an essential part of the quest.

To start this quest, you will need to go and talk to Princess Cimest at the Kingdom of Breezes and Bells. Before you do this though you will need to complete 2 other quests.

• The Lotus Leaf and the Champion
• The Forest and the Princess

You will not be able to start the “The Answer of the Lotus Leaves and the Forest” quest without completing the 2 quests listed above. Once you’ve completed the 2 listed quests, skip to the next in-game day and go talk to Princess Cimest.

“The Answer of the Lotus Leaves and the Forest” quest

As soon as the quest starts, it will take you to the tightly shut door. To open the tightly shut door, you’ll need to solve a short puzzle. You will have the assistance of Princess Cimest and Faurobert in solving this puzzle.

First, use Faurobert to drop the Waterspouts blocking the garlands. You can do this by simply walking up to Faurobert when he is on top of the blue pedestal and telling him to drop the waterspout.

With the waterspout down, you will be able to see a bunch of garlands and a tall yellow flower in front of you. Using Princess Cimset, you will need to hit the tall yellow flower through the garlands. Doing this will turn the flower into a fan.

Once that is done, recall Princess Cimset and throw her through the garlands again as shown in the image above. When Princess Cimset comes in front of the fan, she will automatically move towards the right due to the fan’s air pushing her there.

Once she comes in line with the other series of garlands to the right, recall her. You need to make sure she passes through all of the garlands to complete the puzzle. Do note that this is a time-based challenge, so while you are going through the puzzle, try to do it as fast as you can.

The tightly shut door will open as soon as you complete the puzzle. Go through it to enter into the Cave of Eerie Murmurs.
