How to Get the Rookery Cache Key
To get the chick to drop the key, you have to distract it with its favorite treat: Tasty Meat.
- Find Farstrider Aerieminder: This NPC is standing just to the right of the treasure.
- Purchase Tasty Meat: Buy the meat from the Aerieminder.
- Lure the Chick: Look for a placement marker on the ground in front of the Mischievous Chick. Place the meat there, and the chick will drop the key to start eating.
- Unlock the Cache: Loot the Rookery Cache Key from the ground and use it to open the chest.
Troubleshooting the Placement Marker
Sometimes the “interact” or placement marker for the meat doesn’t show up due to a common phasing bug. If you can’t see where to put the meat, try these community-tested fixes:
- The Fly-Away: Fly a good distance away from the treasure for a few seconds, then fly back. This usually forces the area to reload properly.
- The Relog: If flying doesn’t work, try a quick relog right in front of the chick.
