Death Stranding 2 is the next installment of Kojima’s well received but also incredibly confusing game franchise that has you running around delivering cargo all across the map. At a certain point in the game, you will progress past Mexico and reach a completely different area. If you are wondering whether you can go back to the previous area, this guide should help you out with that.
How To Shoot MP Bullets In Death Stranding 2
As you play through the game, you will encounter different types of ammo that you can use in your weapons. If you are confused about how you are supposed to be using stuff like the MP bullets, fear not, as it is actually extremely simple.
Now, we are not exactly sure what “MP” means in this context, but you will probably encounter this very early on as you get new weapons. It can be used for any enemy type, but they may not be the most useful in some situations.
You learn about this when you first get an assault rifle, which says that it is armed with MP bullets that are effective against “any target”. They are a versatile option that will be useful all throughout the game, except for fights where you are expected to use special weapons or ordnance.
You do not really need to think about “using” them, because they are automatically fed to any weapon that has the “MP” label on it. For example, the “Machine Pistol [MP]” will automatically be loaded with your MP bullets if you have any.

Most, if not all, of the guns in the game do not really have an option to swap ammo types. You really just do not need to worry about it at all. Just collect all the ammunition you can and take comfort in knowing that the relevant guns will be loaded with the correct stuff when you need to use them.
That is pretty much all you need to know when it comes to shooting these types of bullets. Again, just keep hoarding them and you should be fine once you whip out your weapon. Surely you would already know how to actually shoot whichever guns apply to this tip.
If you need further help, take a quick look at our guide on how to rest in Death Stranding 2 so you can let Sam take a break every now and then, which he will need due to all the running around he does in the game. This is one of the more basic mechanics of the game that also opens up other small interactions, so make sure to learn how to do it as early as possible!
