Just like a lot of other MMORPGs, you’ll eventually want to figure out a way to make as much money as possible while AFK in Brighter Shores.
That said, the game doesn’t really have much in the way of automation. There’s no completely AFK moneymaking method! However, there are definitely some ways to minimize your effort while maximizing your profits.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to make loads of money in Brighter Shores with as little effort as possible. Sadly, it doesn’t work in real life!
How to Make Money AFK
As we mentioned in our introduction, there’s no 100% AFK way to make money in Brighter Shores. You can use Passive Training at Level 20, but it’s almost entirely just for XP gain is very poor for moneymaking. However, you can actually make a pretty steady profit with minimal effort by simply making and selling Meals as a Chef. This method is available from Episode 1, too, so you can do it whenever you wish.
The easiest way to use this method is to go to Kevin’s Ingredients right outside of The Delectable Dab Restaurant in Hopeport.
Purchase 12 pieces of Bread and 12 strips of Basic Raw Bacon. The total cost will be 4 Silver and 800 Copper, so be sure to bring enough money to purchase it all.
These ingredients will allow you to cook a total of 12 Basic Bacon Sandwiches. You can cook by using the Frying Pans in The Delectable Dab’s Restaurant kitchen. Extremely convenient that Kevin’s Ingredients shop is right outside that restaurant, right?
Once you cooked up all the Basic Bacon Sandwiches, interact with the nearby NPC Chef in the kitchen and sell the sandwiches to him. You’ll get 560 Copper per Bacon Sandwich, meaning you make a profit of 160 Copper per sandwich.
This same method works with any other recipe, as long as you can just buy the ingredients from Kevin’s shop. For example, you can buy Basic Eggs for 240 Copper each and turn them into Basic Omelettes. Then sell the Omelettes for 336 Copper, making a profit of 96 Copper per Egg. Plus, you’ll get Chef XP by cooking, too. This is why we consider Chef one of the best Professions in the game!
So, there you have it, a quick and effortless way to make money in Brighter Shores. It’s so simple that you can just do it while watching a show or something!
