Artian Weapon Parts come in different tiers of Rarity in Monster Hunter Wilds, with tier 8 being the highest.
If you’re at the endgame, you’ll likely want to make a Rarity 8 Artian Weapon. A properly-made Artian Weapon is overall stronger than any of the regular monster-based weapons. As such, they are a must if you wish to minmax your build.
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to get Rarity Tier 8 Artian Weapon Parts in Monster Hunter Wilds.
How To Get Tier 8 Artian Weapon Parts | Monster Hunter Wilds
You can get Tier 8 Artian Weapon Parts as an exclusive drop from all 6-star and 7-star Tempered Monsters in the game. There only 6 of these Tempered Monsters currently in the game: Uth Duna, Rey Dau, Nu Udra, Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, and Arkveld.
Remember, Tempered Monsters are special tougher variants of regular monsters. You can find them roaming the environment, as Quests, and as Investigations. They always have “Tempered” in their name and a purple glow around their icons, as shown above. If you’re hunting a specific one of these Tempered Monsters, remember to save them as Investigations so that they’re easier to track.
A good way to farm Tier 8 Artian Parts is to take on SOS Flare Quests from the Quest Counter. Ideally, just look for 7-star Difficulty Investigations targeting any of the Tempered Monsters we mentioned above. This is also easier than doing it solo, as you will get to work together with other players. You’ll get the weapon parts as long as you clear the Quest!
Remember, the Tier 8 Artian Parts will appear as Rarity 7 unappraised parts in the “Bonus Rewards” section of Tempered Monster hunts. They become Rarity 8 upon appraisal. To simplify, just look for the red icons shown above.
We also recommend prioritizing hunts with the Gore Magala and Arkveld monsters. They drop Hunter Symbols III and their parts can also be traded for high tier ores like Oricalcite at the Smelting Foundry. You’ll need those ores to refine your Artian Weapons later on, so it’s good to kill two monsters with one stone!
Use the Melding Pot at HR 100
If you’ve already reached HR 100, you can also get Tier 8 Artian Parts by using the Melding Pot at Suja Village. Simply select the “Meld Relics” option there.
This allows you to craft any Rarity 8 Artian Parts you want for 120 Meld Points each. It lets you rely a lot less on pure RNG, as you might not always get the specific parts you need from hunts. However, you should still do hunts, as the best material for Melding are the various tiers of Wyverian Bloodstones. You can only get those bloodstones by hunting down Tempered Monsters!
Realistically, the Melding Pot is a sort of “pity” system. It lets you get rid of the undesirable parts and Wyverian Bloodstones you get from Tempered Monsters to guarantee that you get the Artian Parts you need. You’ll still need to hunt Tempered Monsters, but make sure not to ignore this mechanic.
So, there you have it, that’s all you need to know to get Tier 8 Artian Weapon Parts in Monster Hunter Wilds. If you want to know more about how to turn these parts into weapons, check out our full Artian Weapons guide!
