Once you are done going through the main story, Monster Hunter Wilds opens up with the more familiar quest grinding gameplay loop of the past games. One of the things you can do in high rank content is hunt tempered monsters, which will drop hunter symbols. Here is a quick guide on how you can start farming for Hunter Symbol 3!
How to Get Hunter Symbol 3
Some of the best gear in the game require hunter symbols in order to craft, and to get these, you will need to fight tempered monsters. However, there are also varying tiers of this resource that go up from one to three. If you are looking for Hunter Symbol III, you are in luck.
All you need to do is fight seven star tempered monsters, and you will need to get a pretty high hunter rank first before you can even consider fighting them. To be more specific, you will need at least HR 41 or higher to even post a seven star tempered monster investigation.
Your choices at the moment are also very limited. Basically, you can only choose between stuff like the tempered Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, or even an Arkveld. If you are still too low to even attempt these, then continue grinding up your HR by doing lower level hunts.
One thing to note is that this drop seemingly is not guaranteed even if you have a successful hunt. So, if you are one of the unlucky ones who can’t seem to get one, you will just have to keep sending it until you finally hit the drop.
And that is everything you need to know in order to hunt for Hunter Symbol III in the current state of the game, which will undoubtedly be expanded on later down the line.
